Everything you need for a fabulous St. John vacation without the high price tag! One of the best values on island.

We do our best to ensure you love your time here as much as we did when Kachi Ra was our home, and we pride ourselves on open and honest communication with guests. Questions? Just ask!

Air conditioned bedroom is the perfect place to get a good night's sleep at the end of your days exploring this beautiful island. Cozy, casual with rich mahogany surroundings in a quiet, safe, residential neighborhood full of mature growth trees, new furniture, flat screen tv, wireless internet, and dedicated Netflix account. Screen doors and windows along with living room and dining area ceiling fans invite cooling breezes.

Kachi Ra (Kachee'-rah) is just 10 steps away from a great pool and gas grill on an expansive sun deck with loungers and views of Little St. James and Pillsbury Sound. The condo offers direct access to the Caneel Hill trail, a beautifully picturesque hiking trail that can take you to Cruz Bay or north shore beaches. (Note: this is definitely a hike and should not be seen as a reason to forego renting a car!)

Cooler, beach towels, and beach chairs are provided. Guests sometimes leave behind other beach amenities (snorkel gear, umbrella/tent, toys, etc.) but we do not maintain or guarantee these items.

Located only one mile from the ferry dock, Kachi Ra is a very short ride to Cruz Bay by car. Rental car is strongly recommended.

This is a very quiet, serene place. We are on-island owners who work hard to ensure that our guests truly enjoy their time here.

PLLEASE NOTE:

There is an additional guest fee for parties larger than two of $15 per additional guest per night and a $120 cleaning fee. Rates include 12.5 percent Virgin Islands hotel tax. By submission of payment to book your reservation you agree to the stipulations in our contract, which will be shared with guests upon request.

A rental car is strongly recommended. This property is not walkable to Cruz Bay, and taxis are not always available when you're ready to go!

The bedroom is air conditioned, while the rest of the condo is cooled by Mother Nature's breezes which flow through the screened-in windows and doors.

This condo is located in a residential complex, not a resort complex.

St. John is a small island, and small island living has its "quirks." Sometimes the power goes out, and when the power goes out, so does the Wi-Fi, water, etc. Power outages are generally infrequent and brief, not something to stress over, and a great excuse to relax by the pool or head to the beach! Because this is out of my control, I cannot guarantee uninterrupted utility service.

Perfect Location and Beautiful Property!
What a beautiful VRBO! The location couldn’t be beat. Very close to Cruz Bay. The host, Andrea, was very responsive and accommodating. We stayed with 2 adults and a baby and the size was perfect. Very clean and well maintained and the view from the pool (steps off the deck) was amazing!

First trip to St John,loved the view from the pool!
We enjoyed our 3 days at St John in this unit. It suited our needs, we enjoyed the location to the pool(just a few steps to a beautiful view)! The parking was fine,a learning curve for the first day dealing with the steep hills, but that is all of St John, not exclusive to this location. The condo had everything we needed, including great beach chairs that we used each day. The ac unit in the master is a nice touch to get a cool room while sleeping. The fans in the living room were helpful to keep the air flowing for our daughter sleeping on the pullout sofa bed. Plenty of kitchen tools, we cooked most of our meals. Overall we had a great experience!

Loved it!
We loved staying here! It was clean and comfortable. My daughter enjoyed reading their kids books and doing the puzzle. The bed was comfortable and they have plenty of pillows which we appreciate. Its a quiet little gem and we hope to return one day!

Loved the pool and location
We would love to stay here in the future! It was easy to get taxis from Cruz Bay, and also from where the driveway meets centerline road. Our flight was delayed and we were unable to get our rental car before the last car ferry, but our greeter Joanna picked us up and gave us a thorough rundown. The next morning the safe malfunctioned and our wallets were locked in there. Andrea was very prompt in trouble shooting and came out to unlock it for us and reset it. We were very appreciative of her responsiveness. I wouldn’t recommend using the safe, but I wouldn’t take a star away because the place was clean, beautiful, and felt like a very safe area. The pool was amazing and the view incredible. Loved every minute!

Ted purchased this condo in 1999, fresh out of college. I (Andrea) met him in 2005, and it was here at this condo that we fell in love and started a family. We moved out of the condo in 2010 to better accommodate our growing family, and started renting it out short-term to accommodate budget-savvy travelers like ourselves, and we hope island visitors enjoy their time at Kachi Ra as much as we did.

The condo is located in a quiet neighborhood, very convenient to Cruz Bay and North Shore beaches. The condominium complex is home to a mix of long-term residents, condo owners, and short-term rentals. It's a peaceful place where neighbors look out for one another. Get your day started with a hike on beautiful Caneel Hill trail, which can be accessed directly from the condo property and will take you to sweeping island views, Cruz Bay, or north shore beaches. (Note: this is definitely a hike and should not be seen as a reason to forego renting a car!) You can't beat the pool right outside your door, great for a dip in the quiet morning hours or for a refreshing swim after a long day at the beach.

Ted works hard to constantly improve the condo. He handmade the gorgeous bathroom countertop, which evokes a nautical feel, and the wood shutters installed on the bathroom window for privacy. He retiled the bathroom shower in a gorgeous dark slate, and designed an all-new kitchen during post-Irma renovations. There are lots of little handmade touches throughout Kachi Ra that make it unique.
