Recentemente renovado 1925 casa com apartamento, muito bem decorados com achados vintage. O apartamento tem um quarto com cama de casal, além de uma única cama dobrável está disponível. O banheiro tem uma banheira e chuveiro. Também uma lavanderia separada com lavadora e secadora, cozinha totalmente equipada com electrodomésticos inox e balcões de granito equipada. Sala de estar com tela plana t. v. internet sem fio e sala de jantar. A duas quadras do shopping do centro histórico e na rota do bonde gratuito para UVA. Estacionamento na rua, adorável pequeno jardim.
Lençóis, toalhas, sabonetes e xampus no banheiro. Detergente e ferro e tábua de passar fornecida para a lavanderia. Pratos e copos e canecas, talheres e utensílios de cozinha fornecido. Máquina de café e de café e chá suprimentos, garrafas de água, frutas e lanches incluídos.
We loved the ground floor apartment in this little "shotgun" style house. It was very clean and well supplied. All of the furniture was comfortable, cute and appropriate to the space.
The kitchen was supplied with two fresh scones, fresh local coffee, organic milk, eggs, orange juice, and fresh fruit. So thoughtful and we felt very welcomed! Appliances all seem to be very new. We used the washer and dryer which was well-supplied and those were new.
The location was good in that we had an easy three or four block walk on nice sidewalks on Market St. to the downtown mall. We arrived on a Friday and didn't drive our car until Sunday when we wanted to visit a couple of wineries. Plenty of good restaurants and shopping in walking distance. Recommend: resturants: Fellini's, C&O, Mudroom coffee, Water St., shopping: Chalk, Bittersweet, Low Vintage Clothing Records & Antiques. Wineries: Reynard Florence and Blenheim (we like smaller, chill-vibe tasting rooms and an outside area for hanging out and picnicking). Pippin Hill is big and commercial but a beautiful spot with food at the forefront. We did like their Merlot and Viognier.
Only downside property were the front steps down to street level.They were a bit rough and there was no sidewalk--just uneven ground with some erosion. We needed to cross the street to get to a good sidewalk. It could be a issue when the ground is wet and muddy. As far as the neighborhood goes, mostly residential (maybe some student rentals) and light industrial across the street. It was quiet during our stay.
There is a cute little porch with a swing on the front and a sweet garden in the back with chairs if the weather is good.
Overall, it was easy in and easy out and just a very cute and welcoming place to stay. We definitely recommend this place to anyone!
Nicely appointed apartment! Location is great for walking to the downtown mall. Lots of charm!
Can't say enough about the location...only two blocks to the Downtown Mall where there are lots of shops, restaurants, and plenty of things to do. The renovation looks great and everything is up to date. It's extremely clean and the owner was very thoughtful leaving us with some snacks and items for breakfast. The owner was extremely responsive regarding our communication for check-in. My only recommendation would be to have some more comfortable living room furniture. After being out and about for 12+ hours, it would have been nice to be able to relax and watch some tv and the antique furniture, while it looks nice, is not entirely comfortable enough for relaxing. Overall, this place was awesome and I would definitely stay here again as well as recommend it to others.
The apartment was the perfect place for our week long visit to Charlottesville. It was conveniently located to the downtown, lots of restaurants and the interstate. The apartment was well furnished and everything we needed for our first breakfast was provided. Helen also gave us the names of two out of the way, but very good restaurants - The Local and Tavola (best meal of the trip!) - that are out of the way (but close by) and that we wouldn't have normally found. Would definitely recommend it to friends and stay there again.
The smallest detail was thought of. From the washer and dryer to the muffins and jam. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting Charlotesville. Easy walk to the city mall or train station.
The apartment was nicely renovated & had all amenities you could ask for! It was within walking distance to the downtown pedestrian mall & all tourist attractions.
It was very thoughtful of the owner to leave a goody basket!
The two cons that I found with this rental was the furniture in the main room where tv is. It is not very functional or comfortable if you're looking to relax & watch a little tv before bed. Also, the steps are a little dangerous leading up to the front porch. Other than these minor items, it was a great place to stay!
