We have travelled around the world and have never seen a resort of this expanse and esthetic perfection. The uniqueness of the resort is exemplified by its absolutely unique, one of a kind, joint venture with Cirque de Soleil. The Nuevo Vallarta resort is building a five campus Cirque presence which will be three times the size of Disneyland. This offering will not be available until late next year at the earliest, but I mention it as emphasis of the stature of the resort company. Cirque de Soleil is already up and running at the Cancun resort. (Contact me if you would like to explore availabiliy at that resort, to which I have access. I also have access to the Cabo San Lucas resort. You can see both of these resorts on the Vidanta web site.)
The resort also has a state of the art partially outdoor night club with Vegas level entertainment, a gourmet market, fantastic kids pools, a several story water slide and wave pool, a lazy river, and taxi proximity to Puerto Vallarta with all its charm and great restaurants. In addition, on site are travel agents serving Vallarta Adventures which features outings with zip lines, dolphin pools, four wheel all terrain vehicles, tequila manufactures, historical mountain outings, etc.
A remarkable outing is Rhythms of the Night, a magical night-time venue accessed by boat, and which features a Cirque-like show and gourmet buffet. The place is cut from the jungle and is lit by a thousand candles. This is a must see.
The architecture of the resort, its landscape, its finishes and its scope are truly extraordinary. It has 15,000 employees and a similar capacity for guests. The resort is organized in pods, so that one has an intimate experience around the pools or at the restaurants, with no sense of its hug expanse. It could not be replicated in the developed world because of the cost of labor, and is extraordinary to find in the developing world, with its exquisite design and finishes.
