Everything was perfect. ..the house is very large and easily accommodated our large group with room to spare. The backyard is huge and great. Plenty of towels and sheets
We found this home to fit all of our needs. We were a group of 7, the house was very spacious and functional for us. Its in a great neighborhood very close to the beach. We loved being able to grill outside in the big, beautiful backyard. This house is perfect for a big group. There are lots of walking trails around which are perfect for getting exercise or taking your dog. I would recommend this house to anyone who wants a quiet getaway to relax and enjoy southern california.

My family spent a week at your lovely home and we all enjoyed it tremendously. This was by far the best week we ever had all together. The pictures of the house were exactly as stated in the description with all the necessary items there. The location was great and close to all that we love. The house was elegantly furnished and had an “avant garde” look. The views from the MB bedroom upstairs were spectacular. The finale came on July 4th after gorging down all the prepared delicious food, we had a view of the fireworks from the La Costa Resort.
I found this home after researching many VRBO properties and it was fabulous for our family of 10 adults & 4 pre-school children! We stayed for 8 days over Canadian Thanksgiving in 2013 and all of our family members couldn't have been happier with this beautiful home, they each thanked me for choosing it. The house is very spacious and tastefully decorated, the backyard is huge & nicely landscaped with almost complete privacy - the property is on a hill overlooking Carlsbad without any houses behind, so it was great for barbecues out on the patio with lots of space for the kids to play while the adults relaxed, its located in a very quiet & peaceful lovely neighborhood. Our dog enjoyed running in the yard and on the trails in the area. The interior of the house is much nicer than we imagined, we found it to be clean and well maintained with every amenity readily available. The design & lay-out is excellent, it has comfortable sitting areas both inside & out with more than adequate bed and bathrooms for all 14 of us including a large open kitchen where we enjoyed cooking together. This home truly is a gem! Carlsbad is a fabulous city with lots of shopping & restaurants; perfectly situated to vacation in the area - we could easily drive to & from San Diego as well as up to the LA area - Legoland, Sea World, Disneyland and great Beaches were all easy to get to. The owner and her assistants were very accessible & communicated clearly, they responded to all of my emails and multiple questions promptly before, during & after our stay and thoroughly explained everything to me. I highly recommend Liza to you. She was also gracious, flexible and generous in terms of our arrival and departure dates. You will not find a better home for such a reasonable price! Thank you, we highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again.
What more could we want to feel at home? We came to go to legoland and sea world and discovered carlsbad. The house felt so warm and had tons of character, art and beauty with the biggest back yard we have ever had on renting vacation homes. It felt like we were in hawaii between great weather and so many palm trees and plants. Private yet so close to everything. Felt like an estate but was in a high end neighborhood called Aviara. We read up on Aviara and its a master planned newer community upper scale with 40% green belt and so much beauty. The owners were gracious. We had all we needed at our fingertips. The pantry was so fully stocked we had all the spices and staples so shopping was easy.
The views were better than the photos. Everthing was very clean and easy to access. We read a previous post and don't understand why anyone would not be happy with this rental even if there were
no trash bags, which there are and two water filters, which a lot of homes don't have one and we don't expect them. WE buy bottled water but the filters are great for cooking for us. We met the maids on our way in and we were impressed that they could clean such a large home so well. The master made us feel total resort style above Four Seasons golf couse on a canyon, WE walked to the park and took the trails with our dogs. WE spent a lot of time in the kitchen. We go yearly to san diego and we highly recommend the convienienc of this home from booking to staying here to our departure. Cant say there was a thing wrong with this home unless you want to be nit picky and complain, but why. We read the previous post and have paid more for homes like this. Its a great deal all around. We found the house itself was pretty nice and pleasant, the overall renting experience was satisfactory but the experience could have been much better if the owners were more attentive to our concerns during the stay. First, we found that there is no filtered water available in the house. Water from the refrigerator and from the bottom of sink was out of order. The lady owner initially listened to our concern on the phone but the husband later said the drinking system has been simply broken from the previous leasers and he had no plan to fix it while we were there. As a result, we had to buy bottled water for drinking, which was okay but not great. Second, we found that the way owners (particularly husband since he seems to be around in the area and seems to be responsible for any maintenance issue) respond to our concern was non-empathetic but business-like. When the gas from the grill was run out, the owner said that 'this is not a hotel service.' He went on to say that we can buy a new gas tank with our cost. In addition, the house does not have any trash bag, nor detergent for dishwasher. After searching for these items thoroughly and after waiting more than 24 hours for response to our concerns, what we heard was the same message that they can’t do anything for it. Certainly these non-equipped items could be regarded as minor but the way owner responded to our concern was not satisfactory. The bottom line was that there are probably many other ways to convey the same message but we found that the owner's response was pretty unpleasant. Finally, this is an overall comment that applies to the first two concerns described above and is probably alluded between the lines above. The communications were not ideal between the renters and rentees, especially while we stay in the property. Communication was the best when we made a contract. After contract, when we had questions on property or the areas, owners’ or agent response were mediocre at best. During our stay, the communication was terrible. There are two phone numbers given for the communication. Each seems to lead to voice message-- we probably tried more than 10 times during our stay but nothing went through directly. The return to the voice message was not immediate either. It took at least four hours in the first day (we had some trouble to get in the house first time but eventually figured it out), and took more than 24 hours next.
