Nestled in lush tropical gardens with a 105 foot swimming pool, directly fronting Playa Las Ballenas, known as one of the Dominican Republic’s finest beaches, at 50 yards, our penthouse offers a unique blend of seclusion, easy access to a wide array of leisure activities, and an authentic Caribbean way of life. Far from mass tourism hot spots such as Punta Cana or Cancun, Las Terrenas is still a fishing village, where foreigners and friendly locals mingle in everyday life. This melting pot of local and foreign influences is maybe best exemplified by the quality and creativity of Las Terrenas restaurants, which fuse French haute cuisine, traditional local recipes and fresh sea food ingredients. Not only will Las Terrenas offer you a comprehensive range of water sport activities, it also stands out as one of the last spots of unspoiled natural beauty in the Caribbean.

TOGETHER TIME YET PRIVATE SPACES
Our penthouse is perfect for a couple in search of a romantic retreat or for friends/families wishing to spend time together yet welcoming some privacy.
Its 2,800 sq ft of interior space, exotic wood floors and high ceilings, and high-end colonial furniture will make you feel very cozy. The apartment situated on the 3rd and top floor is flanked by two separate terraces measuring 890 and 750 sq ft, each enjoying the same gorgeous view on the tropical garden, swimming pool and ocean. Each terrace has both a porch and an open space to accommodate your wishes for sun or shade. The east terrace has a seaview jaccuzi with 5 rooms including a lying one. You will enjoy their absolute privacy: no peeking neighbor!
Each of the three bedrooms is individually decorated, with king size bed as well as ensuite bathroom. Two of them open onto the terrace for enhanced intimacy.
Our penthouse includes all amenities one can expect from such high-end accommodation: a private elevator dedicated to luggage, a vast modern gourmet kitchen with Center Island that is fully equipped (including 2 ovens, dish-washer, microwave, American-style refrigerator, water cooler, wine cellar, etc.), a BBQ, air conditioning in the bedrooms (not in the living room), LCD cable TV, WIFI, safe, laundry room etc.

PRIVACY, COMFORT AND SAFETY
This exclusive property combines the best of both worlds: you will treasure the privacy of a quiet and small residence while enjoying services usually associated with hotels – gated entrance and 24/7 surveillance, daily cleaning, gardening and pool maintenance,
Should you wish to free yourself even more from everyday duties, we selected competent and reliable personnel for you who will take care of grocery shopping, cooking, babysitting etc.:
- Babysitting is around 5 USD per hour
- Cooking for Lunch or dinner : lump sum fee (in total, not by person) of 30 USD up to 6 adults/40 USD as from 7 adults. Includes the shopping, meals preparation, setting the tables, serving at the table, taking the dishes away and washing them

The residence was designed to preserve the essence of the area by respecting the lakes and green areas in order to offer each resident his own special place. You will find a salt river running through the garden down to the sea.

The penthouse is equipped with 3 king size beds in the 3 bedrooms (equipped with air conditioning) and 2 queensize convertible couches positioned in the living room (which is equipped with fans but no air conditioning), making it ideal for 8 people. We can accomodate up to 10 people thanks also to 2 individual folding beds for kids.

There are many nice restaurants nearby.

You will enjoy a sailing club just on the beach front with whom we negociated for you a 50 % discount on windsurf and boat rentals + kayak and paddleboard at 2 USD per use.

Electricity is included is the base rate as well as daily housekeeping.

We are at the disposal of our guests for any question prior to the stay.
Our Property management agency has been located in Las Terrenas for over 15 years. They are very connected with locals and reliable. They are available by phone and whats app 7/7 24/24 and live 5 minutes away. They can take care of logistical aspects of your stay if you wish (including transport from/to the airport) and they will welcome you upon arrival.

A very comforable penthouse, fully equipped. The communication with the owner has been super smooth. The team in Las Terrenas is very helpful. The views on the gardens, the beach, the jacuzzi and the terraces are terrific !

Beautiful property across from beach
We enjoyed our stay in January 2023. Property is located in a quiet residential area with beach access across from the pool area. Everything you need is in this property. 24 hour security is included. We enjoyed our stay! Thank you!

Unprofessional and abusive owner
On arrival staff directed by owner to refuse entrance because our final payment hadn’t been processed prior to our departure despite being made 20 days before in consultation with their finance manager who assured me she would contact me if there were any problems. After 3 weeks of doing nothing, emails were sent from an unsecured location the day before departure, which went directly to my junk mail. Forced to sit in the taxi in 30 degree weather I was handed a phone and was immediately insulted, yelled at and sworn at by owner Rodolphe for more than 30 minutes. Told me if the payment wasn’t fully paid immediately the rental would be cancelled and our deposit lost. With heat exhaustion and no water, I begged to be allowed entrance to resolve the problem inside and desperately had to use the washroom. Being denied, I subsequently wet my pants. My husband took the phone and obtained agreement to accept all the cash we had and obtain the rest of the funds later, which took 3 days. Thanks to Enrica and Milka we managed to resolve the issue. Definitely not a luxury high end property. The 2 ovens didn’t work, dishwasher didn’t clean adequately, private elevator didn’t work, pillows and bedsheets lumpy and threadbare, smaller bedroom bed uncomfortable, inadequate lighting in stairwell resulting in several falls at foot of stairs. Stunning views from gorgeous windows, Spacious terraces, gorgeous beach and outdoor space. Owner ruined our peace of mind and joy.

Not what we expected!!
First and most important we made a reservation based on 10 People. We ended up being 8 (thank god) because there was not space whatsoever for 10 people. There are 3 bedroom for 6 people the rest had to sleep on 1 sofa bed that was in the living room with NO AIR CONDITIONING and many many mosquitos!! We had to move the sofa bed and sleep 4 people in one bedroom. Requested many times for extra beds to be delivered and in our 12 days stayed they were never delivered. The listing says that there is cleaning every day. Not true at all. Only the first day of our stay we had one came over and the rest of the 11 days no one came to clean. We asked and the response was that the person had personal problem but never gave us the option to send someone else. We wanted to change our stay to another place as we were not happy most of all with the sleeping arrangement and they simply said there was nothing else. The property is very beautiful but out dated. Some of the appliances didn’t work and were very old. We had to wash the first day the jacuzzi to use it and couldn’t use it anymore as is was ver dirty, so don’t even count on the jacuzzi. Overall we had a good time regardless of the inconveniences that we had but I would not recommend this property if AC is important for you, and also if you are more than 6 people. Also there is no board games or snorkeling equipment or beach chairs which are often included in seasonal properties. We requested prior to our arrival day about it and they said they were providing it but never happen.I suggest manager to remove the option of 10 people on this property unless you are ok to sleep in the living room with no AC and being eaten by the mosquitos. We have been in Las Terrence in another occasion and stayed on another property much smaller (for 4 people) and it was very well kept and the service was excellent. I would not stay on this property or recommend it to anyone.
