Esta casa de um quarto está em uma localização perfeita - a poucos minutos a pé do mar e perto dos famosos restaurantes e galerias em Prospect St. A casa está completamente mobilado e tem lavanderia no local, uma conexão de banda larga sem fios à Internet e televisão por cabo. O quarto tem uma cama queen size. Há um espaço de estar ao ar livre e um galpão que tem dois cruzadores de praia e cadeiras de praia.
A localização é ideal para a natação, snorkeling, mergulho, surf, caminhando ao longo da costa, vendo selos, golfe, canoagem, ténis, observação de baleias, e andar de bicicleta. Há supermercados a uma curta distância. Uma viagem de 20 minutos do aeroporto de San Diego. Um autocarro pára a uma quadra de distância, que pode levá-lo para o shopping UTC compras e UCSD. Outras atrações nas proximidades incluem o Birch Aquarium, o Jardim Zoológico de San Diego, Sea World, o Wild Animal Park e os museus de Balboa Park.
I will start by saying I've vacationed frequently at VRBO properties over the last decade with mixed results. I am a "very" picky lady and this property was the total package, hence I wouldn't*change*a*thing! Definitely a first for me and owners' stellar reviews are completely valid and hard earned. Everything about this cottage was perfect: ideal location (walking distance to the Cove; Girard St - Herringbone and Sugar & Scribe our fav restaurants & 10 min from airport), property is immaculately maintained with plenty of space, temperature comfortable & breezy without A/C, kitchen is fully equipped, neighborhood is quaint and quiet. Best of all Justin/owner was prompt with all communication and responsive to our every need. We rarely repeat our vacation destinations as we prefer to search for our next new adventure, however, we are already planning our next trip to this little La Jolla cottage gem. (only 1 minor suggestion would be to add a small safe in LR closet, bolted to ground/shelf for securing valuables and providing guests the ultimate peace of mind.). Overall, Highly recommend!
The cottage was nice, but the owners failed to inform us that we would need to park a block and a half away because the little parking space on the street is take up by the local hotel workers.
The owners were very prompt in helping resolve the plumbing problem that impacted all the units near us, but the fact that the toilet wouldn't flush, and that my wife could not take a bath due to the black water backing up into the tub put a real damper on the whole weekend.
Again, nice folks, but there were too many problems. We only book one weekend a year, so this was quite a disappointment.
We often travel to La Jolla and this was the first time we tried renting a place instead of staying in a hotel. This little apartment is very cute, with comfortable furniture, plenty of space and natural light, and everything we needed in the kitchen for cooking. There was also a very nice outdoor patio where we could sit outside and where I did my yoga each morning. I loved that there were screens on the windows so we could let fresh air into the place - much better than breathing stale recirculated air in a hotel. The owner answered all our questions almost right away so our visit was a breeze. This apartment is just steps from Prospect, so you can easily stroll down to the La Jolla Cove in a few minutes. Many restaurants and the Vons Grocery store are within easy walking distance as well. I would give it five stars except it is very hard to park in La Jolla because the streets are lined with cars. Finding a place to park was always a hassle.
I've stayed many times, and enjoy the location and the adorable little cottage very much.
The cottage was perfect; immaculate, well maintained and truly charming and comfortable. A well-kitted out kitchen, comfortable bed and great shower all helped make this a perfect get away. Little touches like the filtered water in the fridge, big, fluffy towels and extra pillows and blankets were lovely and the larger help like a beach umbrella and laundry facilities and Wi-Fi made it a totally comfortable experience. Made for a couple, or maybe a family with a baby (looks like they had an extra cot), but better for a couple. Great communication with the owner. Easy to walk to a Von's for groceries, and the Cove was just a couple of blocks away. The Sunday Farmer's Market was a lot of fun, and there is shopping, restaurants and entertaining sea lions within walking distance. Also easy to get out to drive to San Diego or the Torrey Pines Reserve. I would go back in a flash!
I have all good things to say! Prior to arriving, the owner noted that there was going to be construction on the water lines down the street. He went as far as to fill the fridge with 1-gallon bottles of water to get us started on our vacation. Furthermore, the home was extremely clean and well kept, the location is walking distance to everything La Jolla has to offer and the weather was beautiful. We hope to return in the future.
