Condo was great and exactly as pictured! The view is slightly obstructed but if you make sure you sit in the best seat (the one closes to the pool) you have an amazing view. Owner has excellent communication. We had a slight misunderstanding at check in and he was right on top of it and got it taken care of quickly! Condo is in a great location and really easy beach access. Parking was excellent and very convenient right under the building. Only issues we had during the stay was with the Victorian. They had some issues with the pool and closed it down early along with the hot tubs. They told us it would be fixed the first night of our stay but it never got fixed so we weren't able to do any evening swimming. Other than small issue it was a fantastic stay! And the issue had absolutely nothing to do with the owner or the condo itself.
We found the staff at the front desk very friendly and helpful and check-in was quick. The unit, itself, is a very common condo design that we have found in other areas. This was the best maintained one we have experienced. The downside is that the only light comes in from the patio door so it is quite dark and could use some upgraded lighting. Also the bedroom window opens to the "cell block" central hallway which can be noisy, but I realize that the window is probably required for safety reasons in case of fire. Parking was convenient underneath the building.
The location was excellent with a view of the ocean and pool, easy access to the beach and a short drive to the Strand and all other activities. Noise was an issue, but some of that was our fault for not doing our homework and realizing that it was the Texas Spring Break - very heavy traffic, yelling in the hall at all hours, and twice people pounding on our door in the middle of the night looking for someone. The pool noise was also disturbing after awhile. Sitting on our deck was only possible for short periods, however, your mileage may vary, especially if you are from a large city where you are used to noise - we are not.
On our first day we discovered a major leak in the shower, but David had that taken care of in quick order - thanks again David!
So overall, we would recommend this unit subject to our comments.
Our overall experience reached our expectations. The condo is in a great location, you can walk across the street and you're at a great beach! There was also plenty of restaurants within walking distance, as well as a Walmart if you wanted to get groceries. It is at a very affordable price and I would highly recommend this property.
We were impressed with the cleanliness and the condo is exactly what you see in the pics. There were 4 women ranging in age from late 30s to early 70s and we had no problem all trying to get ready at the same time. One suggestion tho, would be to add lamps or some kind of brighter lighting since there isn't any overhead lighting in the living area. The mini fridge worked great(you can rarely say that)! The beds were comfortable. I guess my only complaint would be that the view of the ocen isn't completely unobstructed. The condo in front of us did block some of the view. But overall we were all impressed and will definitely stay here again!
The outside of the place is nothing special and the condo itself was a little small, but overall very nice inside and updated recently. Very good location and nice pool on site.
The picture of the view is deceiving. The place was nice, but we thought we would have a great view each morning as we sat and enjoyed our coffee and read books. Instead, the view you see was there (barely), but it didn't show the stairwell and the other building facing you blocking the view of the ocean. It was not private at all. I guess we were looking for a place to sit each morning and enjoy the view we saw in the pictures. Otherwise the place was nice. It was small, but it was all we needed. They had a nice pool and fitness center.
