The interior tones at MACKY'S are soothing to both the eye & the soul. The open plan living space spans the full length of the northern water frontage; the interior simply invites you just to sit back & take in the perfectly framed views of the river.

There is some internet reception using your own phone/modem; a bluetoooth UE Boom speaker, Cd & DVD NO TV channels, so ideal for getting away from the busy 'real world'

The master BEDROOM, w/ queen bed opens directly out to the water does the second queen bedroom.

The covered sandstone terrace with BBQ , WOOD FIRED pot belly & OUTDOOR DINING is the spot to be on a balmy afternoon.

The KITCHEN has been totally rebuilt with new appliances:- electric oven, gas cooktop, dishwaher., slimline fridge/ freezer ( suited to a weekend stay; bring eskie if staying longer !!!) ; PANTRY is stocked with australian olive oil, vinegar, plunger coffee, twinings tea, raw suger, sea salt, cracked pepper, paper towel, serviettes.

There is direct accees to the modern BATHROOM from both the living area & from the master bedroom. This is a lovely bathroom design with spacious shower recess & heated flooring

MACKYS is boat access only. There are absolutely no roads to the property, which does make the area so very unique

From SYDNEY travel is north 50KM, along the Pacific Highway # 1 & M1 FREEWAY, to the Hawkesbury River INTERCHANGE / MOONEY MOONEY / BROOKLYN exit. Allow an hour by car from Sydney, and in peak periods add 30 minutes.

approx. $90.00 each way , advance return travel bookings essential. Parking & pick up at KANGAROO POINT public wharf, Brooklyn. Unrestricted parking on lower road.

Book a return taxi transfer & hireboat package - inclusive taxi transfers & hire boat with tank of fuel, life jackets, map & basic 'how to drive' instructions. Your boat will be at the MACKY'S jetty waiting and you will travel upriver in comfort in the water taxi with your belongings . Booking well in advance as only limited number of taxi /boat packages available.
Easy to drive tinny, no experience or licence needed for beginners...

HIRE BOAT SELF DRIVE FROM BROOKLYN or BEROWRA
No experience or boat licence then have a boat for exploring & fishing or simply drifting along the river are easy to handle & Brooklyn Central staff give you a thorough travel from Brooklyn to Mackys at Milsons Passage is approx. 20 - 30 mins depending on tide

PEATS BITE RESTAURANT weekends only, advance bookings essential, - closed July/Aug. A great place for a long relaxed lunch, in one of the most beautiful & unique locations on the river. $130.00pp ( licensed ) You will need to advance book in your boat transfers with the restaurant at the time of booking your table. You can also travel there by hireboat or own boat

SPENCER VILLAGE STORE & CAFE serving legendary breakfasts, Aussie brunch & Burger menu. Truly the 'Hub of the Universe'. Also supplying a good range of meat, some vegetables & just about everything else you may need. Licensed Bottle Shop as well. Kitchen closes around 2.30pm . About 10km upriver by boat. APPROX. 45 MINS IN HIRE BOAT
