Our home is a one of a kind property not only in Avon but the Outer Banks as a whole. Recently renovated home for relaxed beach living. The property includes a large 2 acre grass yard right next to the National Park and 144 feet of sound front beach. This is a kite boarder and windersurfer's dream home and popular with families and fisherman as well. Sunset BBQs on the beach are the best around.

Perfect week for our multi-generational family trip

We were a family group of grandparents, siblings + spouses, and small children/grandchildren. The house and location are even better than the photos show and was absolutely perfect for our family vacation, with stunning sunsets at the sound, and only a block walk to a quiet, beach access that we had almost to ourselves! Home was clean and the kitchen was well-stocked with what we needed to make some group meals. The upstairs bunkbed area was the perfect retreat for the littles! We were so comfortable and happy here - we hope to come back soon!

Just a few problems..

Overall we loved the property and the house itself. The biggest issue was that when we got there to check in the code to the front door was not working and I was unable to get a hold of the owner for an hour to get inside. After we finally got in we were so afraid of getting locked out that we had to leave the back door unlocked most of the time we were there. I didn't really feel safe doing this all the time but I felt like we had no choice and I didn't want to stress about getting locked out on vacation. The only other issue was that the washing machine seemed to not work quite right sometimes. Overall though the house was the perfect size and an awesome place to hang out. We loved the back area to fish and dig for crabs and shells, we even rented kayaks one day and took them right out of the backyard into the water. The private water in the back definitely makes the place!

Amazing property!

The backyard beach alone makes this one of the best properties our group has stayed at. The house was great, the location was perfect, and Don was a fantastic host. Highly recommend this spot!

I'm an avid kite boarder and used to teach for one of the local surf shops on the weekends when I would come down from DC. I've been coming down to Avon for over 20 years now and have lived part time in the Village for over 10 years. I'm on the local volunteer fire department and love being a part of the Avon community.

I have always wanted this property ever since it was listed years and years ago. It was once a realty office and had basically been vacant for over 10 years. It is a dream come true property for me that I hope to have in our family long into the future.

When I bought it there was a 6 inch hole in the roof letting water flood the house for about 3 years. My wife and I wanted to get married on the property so I very quickly got to work cleaning up the land, getting a new roof and pretty much gutting out the entire home in a matter of months. It's basically a new home now.

I love to take pictures especially sunsets at the end of the property on the beach. Since you can't see the mainland it's like being on the West Coast with the sun going all the way down to the water at the end of the day. It's also my favorite kiteboarding spot in the world.
