Yellowstone Vacation June 2019
Cabin was Great. Just as described on line. Spotless, well stocked, all we needed for the wife and I. Spent 4 nights 6/10 - 6/14. Had a very good time,. The King size bed was very comfortable, good sleep. Just a short 20 mile drive to the park. A couple of miner things, No real place to hang things, or place to put your clothes. Need TV upstairs for kids and bed, but we were gone from sun up to sun down. Not much time for TV anyway. Over all we really enjoyrd our stay. Will Stay again. Highly recommend. Love it.
The Bales family
Cabin was clean and had all the things needed and more. Got to cabin and realized we forgot some things at grocery store but what we forgot was already supplied in cabin. Great secluded spot, very peaceful and quiet. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to get away to the wilderness. 25 minutes from northeast gate to Yellowstone. Northeast gate is best gate to go through to see wildlife. It was a great stay and wished we could stay longer.
Best place to stay
Great views of the mountains, close to Yellowstone, you have to visit Cooke City. VERY clean cabin, great nights sleep in the loft. We are coming back.
Everything about the cabin was as described. It was very clean, tidy, and a comfortable place to use as a "home base" while exploring. It truly is a beautiful area to explore. Some things that I underestimated--the proximity of other cabins and the mosquitoes! I knew that there was a larger cabin nearby, but I didn't realize that these cabins sit within a little community type of setting. Not a big deal . . . the trees block the view of other places quite well, but I just wasn't quite prepared for this fact. Everyone that we encountered was very friendly. Also, I don't know if it was the weather, time of year, or what, but the mosquitoes were ridiculous! Even though we had bug spray on, we were still attacked and the bugs bit right through our clothes. I'm certainly not complaining about the cabin or owners by bringing this up--just preparing others for something that I wish that I had known. Sadly, our Pennsylvania 25% DEET bug spray just didn't work.
The only thing noticeably missing from the cabin was a dresser of some sort. We stayed 8 nights and I hate living out of a suitcase! We made do by using the two twin beds in the loft as a place to lay out our clothes. It worked better than digging through the suitcase, but a dresser would have gone a long way to make the place feel much more like home.
Everything else was great! No problems. We ran out of propane one night while cooking dinner and the "problem" was solved immediately.
I was very pleased with the cabin, very cozy and functional. The information about its location, locations of services near, and amenity were both accurate and very helpful. Extra thank you to Mike and his wife who helped locate a safe place close by to park my motorcycle (driveway to cabin not large motorcycle friendly. I would highly recommend this for get a ways.
Exceeded our expectations.
We stayed four nights and had an amazing time over the 4th of July. The cabin had everything we needed for a family of four. It is secluded and away from the hustle and bustle of busy life which is exactly what we needed. We will definitely be back in the future.
There is nothing better than getting away from it all in the mountains of Wyoming. So happy that this cute little cabin had everything you need and exceeded your expectations. We love spending time up there. Look forward to having you back in the future.
