SEMI-OCEANFRONT Hatteras - Summerplace Dr. Surf your way to fun and relaxation with a vacation at POINT BREAK. This cute home just one lot from the ocean, features a private pool area that is perfect for hanging out or kicking back. Inside, the first floor has a game room with foosball, game table with chess/checkers and backgammon, plus a TV and wet bar with mini-fridge. The bedroom with two single beds has a TV/DVD and semi-private bath shared with the game room. On the second floor, find a queen bedroom with TV/DVD and a bedroom with two pyramid bunks with TV/DVD that both access the full hall bath. There is also a king master bedroom with private bath and TV/DVD. The laundry room is convenient to the bedrooms as well as a hallway door to deck with steamy 6 person hot tub. On the top level, the great room with TV and 5 disc DVD/CD player has an access to abundance of decks with ocean views. The dining area and kitchen are open to the great room and access a screened porch with picnic table. The master king bedroom rounds out this floor with TV/DVD and ocean views. Take a break from your daily grind and surf on in to POINT BREAK.

Great location

We were pleased with many aspects of this property, however there were a few things that were not up to par, in our opinion. Only a couple of the 7 televisions worked. The others needed to be hooked up to the internet in order to work. That was a bit disappointing. The screens in the screened in porch were torn and even missing, which meant that evening games in that area were not possible due to the bugs. Small things, like the refrigerator light being out were only a nuisance, but the instructions for the frig/freezer were to leave the controls where they were, which meant that many items in the frig ended up frozen. The ice maker does not work, again, a nuisance. The location, however, was terrific. Easy access to the beach and back to the house for lunch/bathrooms, etc. Lots of room in the house for the 9 people who were here. Just a lot of worn areas. The vent for the ac in the 3rd floor master is disgustingly dirty. So, overall, a mixed bag.

Great property! Everything as described.

Walking distance to beautiful sand dune beach via boardwalk. Great neighborhood for bike riding with side walks to marina village, restaurants and stores. Great hot tub and decks. Great culdesac location perfect for the dogs. Would rent again!

Location, location... Some items need to be addressed, holes in walls, ceilings, fixes to showers.

We enjoyed our stay, the house was average, but the location was everything! watch out for the pool guy, as he was rude! Needs a little TLC and TV connections to Sat and remotes where a problem that took patients. Picknic Table needed cleaning BAD! Chess set is partal, and fooseballs are not proper. If you are looking for place to be outside at beach or beside the pool, this is for you. If looking for cozzey or high end, maybe not your cup of tea! OH...if out of season you will pay to have sheets, blankets, and towels extra. The site will try to over charge you for what you need, so be careful booking out of season.

Run Down, Bad Service

Surf and Sound Reality was difficult to get ahold of. Left texts and voicemails since we had no linen the first night on beds that we paid extra for. No towels or wash cloths that we paid extra for. Here they were outside in bins but zero communication on where to find them and baffled after paying additional hundreds of dollars for these items that the beds weren’t made up with sheets or towels in the bathroom. Finally got a hold of someone the next day. Just bad all around service. Screens were torn or missing in windows and doors. Given three rolls of toilet paper for 8 people for 7 days. No dish soap. One pod for dishwasher. No seasonings. Lousy cookware. No blender. First VRBO experience was very frustrating. Not sure about a next one.
