Nestled in seclusion on an acre of land in the exclusive Mauna Kea Resort, this five-bedroom, seven-bath estate home represents the epitome of luxury, leisure, and ease. Fairways North #1, ideal for families or groups of friends, consists of three pod-style pavilions under one continuous roof, where guests experience breathtaking ocean and sunset views from every room. The estate's outdoor oasis includes an elegantly designed lanai, private pool warmed naturally by the sun with a swim-up palapa bar, waterfall, and jacuzzi grotto. **Resort amenities are detailed below; please review the planned improvements, as this could impact availability.

The circular and open design of Fairways North #1 encourages airflow and interaction, while décor by Fine Design Interiors highlights the sophisticated ambience of the estate. A palatial living space features generous seating, a media area, vaulted wood ceilings that converge toward a large octagonal skylight, and floor-to-ceiling glass pocket doors that open fully to the lanai, creating a seamless transition from indoor to outdoor living. The modern kitchen comes well-appointed with high-end appliances and quality tableware, and a bonus kitchen provides added flexibility for large groups.

The Poliahu primary suite (bedroom #1) is situated in its own ocean-view pavilion overlooking the pool, golf course, and Kohala coastline. This stunning space offers a California king bed, new air conditioning unit, seating area and desk, and a private ocean-view balcony with outdoor seating. The dramatic en suite primary bath includes a jetted tropical rock tub, a walk-in rock shower with a miniature waterfall, dual vanities, and a separate commode for privacy.

A third pavilion houses the remaining four bedroom suites at Fairways North #1, all with full ensuite baths and ocean views. The Kuka‘ilimoku suite (bedroom #2) has two twin beds (which can be converted to a king upon request) and a unique circular walk-in shower, while the Pu‘u Kohola suite (bedroom #3) has a California King bed, a walk-in shower, and dual sinks. Both of these bedrooms have new air conditioning units and sliding glass doors to access the lovely grounds.

The Lilinoe upper-level bedroom (bedroom #4) provides a California king bed, a new air conditioning unit, a full en suite bathroom, and a balcony with an outdoor shower overlooking the Kohala mountains and coastline. An exquisite spiral staircase leading from this suite to the lower level may be locked for privacy or used as a passageway for parents and children. The downstairs Lilinoe suite (bedroom #5) features magnificent high ceilings, two queen pune‘e (Hawaiian daybeds), and floor-to-ceiling teak doors that open completely to the lanai and private grassy lawn. Its en suite bath offers a jetted soaking tub and walk-in rock shower.

Fairways North #1 boasts a state-of-the-art entertainment system with 49-inch Sony Diamond Deluxe smart flat-screen televisions in all five bedroom suites and the living area. Each television comes equipped with Apple TV live streaming and complimentary Netflix, Hulu Live, HBO, and Cinemax. Several Blu-ray and DVD players are also provided. An integrated Sonos speaker system plays your choice of music with exceptional quality throughout the home, and wireless internet extenders ensure full access to high-speed service in every room.

The impressive entrance, walkways, and exterior of Fairways North #1 have been landscaped with great care, creating a tranquil Hawaiian atmosphere and a feast for the senses. The grounds contain multiple water features and lush tropical flora such as palms, heliconia, plumeria, and bougainvillea. Plentiful lounge seating, a large Weber barbecue grill, and multiple open-air dining areas enable guests to live as comfortably outdoors as indoors.

Paradise awaits in this spectacular estate on the west coast of the Big Island of Hawaii, just a short walk from the secluded white sands of Mau'umae Beach. Mauna Kea Resort's famous crescent shaped white sand beach, world-class Hapuna Beach, golf courses, pools, and exercise facilities are all less than five minutes away.

Once your reservation with us is confirmed, Guests wishing to receive amenities access and charging privileges at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and the Westin Hapuna Resort may opt-in to pay an additional $220 per day to the resort. Resort services, amenities, and fees are subject to change anytime. The Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and the Westin Hapuna Resort Management maintain absolute control of establishing and administrating resort access, amenities access, daily resort fees, account charges, policies, and restaurant reservations. Resort amenities cannot be guaranteed and may be limited, without advance notice, during certain local events and peak holidays.

**The Mauna Kea Resort has embarked on an ambitious improvement and renovation plan that impacts areas of the resort:
*Mauna Kea Main Tower: Closed from 4/15-11/20/2024
*Dining: The Westin Hapuna will maintain its usual operations, offering four dining options. Mauna Kea Resort's dining venues, aside from Restaurant #3, will remain open with occasional closures, offering guests one breakfast, one lunch, and two dinner options daily.
*Pools: Access at The Westin Hapuna remains unchanged. Mauna Kea Resort pool will be worked on in 2025.
*Beaches: Mauna Kea Beach operations continue as normal.
*Fitness Centers: Mauna Kea's center remains open until the new one is ready; The Hapuna Fitness Center is available.
*Golf Courses: The Westin Hapuna Golf Course operates as usual; Mauna Kea Course closed from April 15 to November 15, 2024.
*Tennis: No changes to tennis.
*Spa Services: The Hapana Spa by Mandara operates as usual, while Mauna Kea Spa closes on April 15, 2024.

FABULOUS PROPERTY!!
The property is absolutely stunning and exceeded our expectations. The property management company was very responsive and went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay. There were mosquitoes when we went there because of heavy rains the week before. We requested to have the house sprayed, and that solved the problem. We are absolutely coming back next year and will probably stay longer next time. We highly recommend that you opt in for the resort amenities. If you stay here, you will have an amazing experience like we did.

Family Trip
We brought our children and grandchildren to this beautiful house and enjoyed all the amenities it provided. The grandchildren loved the pool and the yard and everyone enjoyed the outside seating, relaxing areas and bedrooms with ensuite bath. Mahalo!

Amazing island oasis the whole family enjoyed
The property provides and incredible backdrop to a relaxing vacation on the Big Island. Extremely private at the end of the street and with views of the ocean, island and golf course. The kids and adults both enjoyed the pool (not heated but very refreshing) and hot tub. Rooms are set up nicely for two Master suites and two bedrooms for kids or other family members. The fifth bedroom we didn’t consider to be a bedroom as it lacked real privacy and air conditioning. Kitchen is small but extremely well stocked and there are two refrigerators and an excellent standalone ice maker. The hosts were so helpful and helped with all sorts of arrangements and very responsive when we had issues or needed help. Looking forward to returning one day soon.

Perfect Two Week Multi-Generation Holiday Location
This residence was perfect for our two week multi-generation Christmas and New Year Holiday! There was plenty of room for all of us being together and room for privacy for everyone. The location is great over looking the ocean and all the fireworks on New Years. Access to the Mauna Kea provided for two beaches, multiple pools and gyms for the committed. Elite Pacific's team great with the management of the property and helping with arranging for activities and a private chef. Five Stars for all involved!! The Marshall Family
