The address of this property is: 1345 Fundy Road, Venice, FL, 34293. Newly remodeled, 3 bedroom, 2,5 bath house with an outdoor shower, fenced in backyard with HEATED pool and screened lanai. Pet friendly (but additional non refundable pet fee is required). Located near Shamrock Park which features walking and bike paths along the Intracoastal Waterway. Not far from Venice, Nokomis, Manasota and Sarasota Beaches. 30 min to Siesta Key (#1 Beach for many years). My home is over 1,700 square feet with a large backyard that is fenced in. Split bedroom floor plan so very private for family or three couples. Home accommodates up to six guests.
Close to the Island of Venice which is enjoyed by vacationers and locals. Five miles to Nokomis Beach, Venice Beach and Caspersen Beach which is also where the doggy beach is located. Fully furnished with a king, 2 twins and a queen bed. Brand new roof. We are pet friendly but we charge nonrefundable pet fee, please do not bring your pets without informing us first.

Bright, Cheerful Florida Home

We loved this bright, cheerful Florida home! Great location! Close to many beautiful beaches and great restaurants. We especially loved Sharkey's Pier, Nokomis beach and Caspersen beach. Hosts provided two shell rakes for shark tooth hunting. The pool was warm and inviting. Appreciated all the towels and beach chairs.

COME, CLEAN & BE HORRIFIED

I totally agree with all 2024 reviews! It's impossible to rate this house 3,4 or 5 with so many issues & unsanitized condition. Looked like cockroach dropping all over everything in Kitchen, 2 exterminator agreed resembles the size of pepper. I SPENT 3 VACATION DAYS CLEANING pots/pans/utensils/drawers. Washing floors with a swifter/40 wet wipes we bought. Washed all bedding some beds have 3x3 yellow stains on mattress & all pillows have stains.(There is a reason they saiy not to remove the bedding) I sent Anna before & after video of Kitchen & why everyone is upset, her reply, Thank U! TDS = Total Dissolved Solids - other minerals in water being over 1300. Which is UNFIT for human consumption!! No note anywhere in house regarding this! I had water tested after part of my hair fell out of Ponytail & was in pool for short time, it turned orange. I'm 69 yrs old, this has NEVER happened before, we have a pool! They told me it must be a hair product I'm using really?! Reputable salon in Venice agreed its the TDS in water. I sent pictures of all issues to VRBO & requested a refund which I was granted but there was nothing opened being Spring Break for 6 people & a dog. If it was my husband & myself, we would have turned around & drove home 18 hours. My family was flying in last week of March so we had to stay. I wish I could upload the pictures of how disgusting everything is. They need to update & put true pictures of all dilapidated building etc.I could go onNeeds lots of work!

Read reviews before booking

John and Anna were easy to work with when reserving the home. Positives of the home is that the air works well and house is cool. Very surprising that a professional realtor would actually rent this house as is. The house does not match photos online. Owner stated they were 9+ years old. This is unacceptable and needs to be addressed by the owner and VRBO. Home is rundown and needs updates. Was told by the owner that the home matched the price that we paid implying we get what we paid for. On the first day we had the owner out to address water drainage issues in the master shower and patio furniture. This issue was resolved however by the end of the week the toilets were gurgling and not flushing. Potential septic issue. We did not have usable toilets our last night and the issue was not addressed at all. There were limited kitchen items and the overall quality was poor. Items were rusted. Pots and pans were unusable for cooking. Need more coffee mugs. 2-3 coffee cups not enough. There is limited to no hot water or the water was scalding hot. In the second bath there was only a trickle of water and water changes between hot and cold. There is a hole and crack by the faucet. The shower curtain had a stain on it. Outlet does not work in the bathroom. The pool was never cleaned and the outside shower does not look like pictures online. Lanai screens had holes in them and frame was covered in mold. Needs a thorough cleaning. Would never recommend a stay here.

Many challenges

-You will quickly realize the 20 yr. old pictures of this home versus the actual-shame on you, and VRBO, for permitting this. Very poor business model (Karma) -Master bath shower drains extremely slow and you're standing in dirty water. (Same as other reviews) -Master jet tub is completely unusable. (Same as other reviews) -Pool cage covered in mold with rips in the screens. -lower oven does not work. -Outdoor shower dilapidated and not functional. -There's reasons for the only 'pay ahead non-refundable policy' you will want a refund-I have never seen such a policy before on ANY other rental site. (ALARMS)

Venice 2023

This was my family’s first stay with VRBO, and unfortunately wasn’t a great experience. The property wasn’t as nice as pictures perceived on VRBO. Just for awareness for future guest several items were in disrepair on property and a few worth mentioning was it was very dirty soon arrival, The outdoor shower not functioning, Bathtub in master bath not working, dishwasher not functioning. However the host were easy to contact and very nice and I did make them aware if they weren’t. Location was perfect and in close range to the surrounding area’s and park.
