This private self entry suite of 3 rooms (Queen sized bedroom, private bath, sitting room) within the front of my home is located only a 10 minute bike ride from the best sunsets in South Jersey, overlooking the Delaware Bay. You will be only a 10 minute drive to the best beaches, restaurants, and attractions of Cape May and Cape May Point. The rooms were recently renovated with new paint, carpets and memory foam mattress. The bathroom offers handicap access, grip bars, subway tiled step in shower and glass door. All complete with granite and marble appointments.

The bedroom offers a Queen sized bed with memory foam top, elegant Egyptian cotton or bamboo linens and comfy pillows. The sitting room offers a full sized leather sofa and a 40 inch Samsung smart TV and Sony DVD player. Easy access to streaming apps. For sound there is a surround sound Polk sound bar fot TV or streaming music from your phone spps. There is a covered front porch with cushioned chairs for private use of guests. Please be advised there is NOT A FULL KITCHEN, however there is a toaster oven, microwave, and utensils. Other amenities include Kuerig coffee maker and under counter refrigerator. If you need more refrigeration, I have a full-size refrigerator with easy access for guests. I’m happy to share a shelf or offer shared freezer space.

Guests enter through a separate front door, which offers secure keyless number pad entry, programmed with a unique code for each guest. I live in the rear of the home with my very friendly Maltese Yorkie Terrier named Guapo. Guapo is a calm adult male Maltese; a hypoallergenic breed so there would not be any allergy concerns. I am available for any questions and advice. I have lived in Cape May for most of my life, and have extensive knowledge about restaurants, history, and fun things to see and do!

After my guests reserve I send a welcome email response with a PDF attachment with information about my property and the area. It’s important to make restaurant choices with reservations well advance of your stay. Go to Capemay.com to make selections and find out restaurant websites. I highly recommend that you print the PDF and bring it along. There are now many wineries, breweries, and only minutes away Nauti Spirits distillery. Please pay special attention and read the details about parking and how to use the keyless entry lock. I welcome you to come, relax, enjoy the peace and quiet, and the beauty of the CAPE MAY area.

Great place to stay

Nice quiet neighborhood. Clean and comfortable space to relax and enjoy. Close to beaches and great places to eat. Craig is a great host. Take the time to read the information he provides. It will make your stay so easy.

Lovely spring weekend

Very nice property. Located, privacy was nice. The rooms were well furnished and had everything that we needed. Craig was a very friendly and curious Host. Would highly recommend staying here

Quiet residential area close to Ferry Terminal. Nicely maintained property. Unit, consisting of a living room, bathroom, and bedroom, is attached to main home but has own entrance. Good value.

Not cleaned and no communication

We reached out to Craig two days before our arrival asking for recommendations, and got no response. Upon arrival, it was very hot in the apartment, so I immediately messaged asking for him to cool off the space. No response. Then I noticed the bed was unmade. It almost looked as if somebody had just gotten out of the bed and left it. Then I started noticing other things. Used towels hung on the bathroom door and no clean towels. Trash was full in both the living room and bathroom. I messaged about these things and asked if the place had maybe not been cleaned. No response. After being suspicious of the lack of communication, we decided to google his name and street and based on what we found, decided to leave the residence a night early after feeling unsafe. We are hoping VRBO can refund us for our stay and extra cost for the hotel we had to get.

Craig was very welcoming. His place was immaculate. Very friendly neighborhood and safe. I would definitely recommend his place and i will be staying there again.

I have lived here most of my life!

My home is my sanctuary! It is well located, only minutes from beaches, fine dining, wineries, shopping, and attractions. I offer comfort and elegance, at an affordable price! Please realize the suite does not offer a full kitchen, however it has a microwave, toaster oven, under counter refrigerator, and Kuerig coffee maker. Osprey Nest is an ideal and peaceful escape for a short stay for guests content to dine out in the many fine restaurants in Cape May, or order a simple carry out meal or pizza!
