Great location! An amazing house with stunning views! Located in the heart of Captiva Island, only a short stroll from restaurants and shopping, this five bedroom, four bathroom pool home is the perfect spot for an amazing vacation. Walk into the living area furnished with a large sectional couch with table, comfortable chairs and a flat screen TV. The second living space has a couch, two comfortable chairs and a large wall-mounted flat screen TV. The open kitchen features granite countertops, updated appliances and plenty of storage, utensils, plates, cookware and glassware. The dining room has a large table with seating for 8. Sliding glass doors open out to a large enclosed lanai that is air-conditioned. The lanai contains a couch and two comfortable chairs and a dining table for six. There are beautiful views of the large heated salt water pool and Bay from the lanai. There is one bedroom on the living area level with a king size bed and its own porch and bathroom. The upstairs third floor features two bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom has a king size bed, private bathroom and a sweeping porch with views of the Bay. The second bedroom has a queen size bed, bunk beds, and a private bathroom with a separate shower and bathtub. The lower level has two bedrooms, living room with sleeper sofa and kitchenette. The first bedroom has a king bed and access to the new large bathroom with custom tiled shower and vanity with dual sinks. The second bedroom has two twin beds and shares the large lower level bathroom. Doors from the first level living room lead to the patio and caged salt water pool. Attached to the pool is a large tiled hot tub that will comfortably hold 8 people. The top level of the home has an amazing roof top deck, plenty of seating and stunning views. Swim in the heated salt water pool, watch the stars from the rooftop deck, shop in the village, stroll to the nearby restaurants, or use the wagon loaded with beach chairs and umbrellas to enjoy at the beautiful beach at the end of the street. A perfect location and perfect home for an amazing Captiva vacation!

Property maintence fail

Our house was great but when we go there the pool and hot tub were off . We paid almost double what we normally pay to have a private pool. We emailed the maintence there night and called and emailed them several times Sunday (the next day) but no one got back to us until Monday morning, despite them saying that their maintence is 24 hours. The maintence team said that they were having phone issues all weekend. They finally came out Monday to turn ont he pool but it was a good 30 hours before it was warm enough to use, so we did not have the pool for almost 1/2 thr week. Additionally, the washing machine was broken. They were very responsive to come out and fix it but they were not able to fix it so we did not have use of that. The house was great but the lack of pool was extremely disappointing,

Family Vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Murmond House. This house is very spacious and well appointed. The Captiva beach as well as restaurants and stores are within walking distance. If we had any complaint it would be that cutlery and cookware needs an update. Great family vacation.

Laidback Island

We had 4 couples staying in the home which is very large and plenty of space for everyone......really enjoyed roof top deck and swimming pool w/hot tub.

Great Family House

A year ago our family, 2 parents, 3 kids, 2 spouses and 2 young grandkids decided to take a family vacation. We ultimately decided on trying Captiva and we were not disappointed. The house had plenty of room for the 9 of us to be comfortable. The location couldn’t be beat, 5 minute walk to the or into town. I would recommend this house for a great family vacation.
