Este encantador, brilhante e espaçoso 2 quartos, 2 banheiro apartamento está em um empreendimento privado localizado no West End do centro da cidade. É apenas 10-15 minutos a pé a Princes Street ea menos de 10 minutos a pé da estação ferroviária de Haymarket. A localização de outra forma é bonito e tranquilo estar ao lado da passarela água de Leith, enquanto as Galerias de Arte Moderna estão a 5 minutos a pé.

A propriedade fica no segundo andar e beneficia de elevador / elevador. A acomodação é composta; hall de entrada, 2 quartos duplos, quarto principal com casa de banho com duche e segundo quarto. Nice apartment in good location

We enjoyed this apartment. It had enough space for all 4 of us. The two bathrooms were quite nice. It's walking distance for Edinburgh Castle and most downtown activities. It does have parking but is first come, first served and hard to find. It's parallel behind a building almost across the street. There are two spaces there. There is also a spot in front of someone's garage that they have contracted to use. My advice is not to get a car from the airport but get one a day or two in when you want to make excursions outside of town. In the master bedroom the shower's door was small and there was a step up to get into it. Water pressure not great but that was true for most of the UK. It had a combination washer/dryer. This apartment was in a locked building and was very quiet. I appreciated how quiet it was being so close to the downtown. It was clean and had adequate supplies. Kitchen was small but we didn't do much cooking.

Overall is was a very good place to stay and we all would stay there again.

Very well located flat in central Edinburgh.

The flat is clean, warm and comfortable. The location is excellent - an easy 10 minute walk to Princes Street but set in a very quiet mews. There is a lift in the building for those who need it and parking was easy. Rooms are a good size and the flat worked well for our family of four.

Disappointing

We agree with Clare C's review about the condition of the property. From the first impression entering the building to the condition of the internal decor and furnishings, it needs quite a bit of attention and upgrading.

Our intention with this one week stay was to assess it for a one month stay next year... but that will not be happening.

Très agréable séjour à Edimbourg

Nous avons passé un très beau séjour à Édimbourg. L'appartement est spacieux, il est vraiment adapté à une famille (2 adultes et 3 enfants). Fonctionnel et calme, il est conforme à la description et a répondu à nos attentes. De plus, il est très bien localisé dans un quartier typé (Dean village). Nous avons pu faire l'essentiel de nos visites à pied.

L'accueil de François est chaleureux. A notre écoute, il a su nous conseiller.

On recommande cette location !

Quiet location, basic accommodation.

The listing description is accurate but it is more about what it doesn't say.

Positives;

It is spacious. There were 7 adults and even when all of us were in the living room it didn't feel cramped. The bedrooms are large, however we moved the sofa bed to the living room because there would not have been enough comfortable seats for 7 and there would have been 5 adults sleeping in the same room.

Having 2 bathrooms was a bonus.

The private development was in a very quiet cul-de-sac and there no noise from neighbours.

It was a 10-15 minute walk to the start of Princes Street.

Easy access to the Walk of Leith between the houses in the cul-de-sac.

Dishwasher tablets were provided as were hand soaps and toilet roll.

Negatives;

Under facilities it states there is parking for one car. There is on street parking between 5.30pm and 8.30am weekdays and all weekend. However between 8.30am & 5.30pm weekdays parking is for permit holders only and wardens patrol the area daily. There are 2 visitor spaces in the cul-de-sac on a first come first served basis. This is not made clear on the property description. Francois only explained this on arrival and also stated that there was an option to pau £7 per day to park on a neighbour's driveway. The closest alternative free on-street parking is 15 minutes away. When choosing the property we had searched for properties with parking.

Hot water - there was only ever luke-warm water in the kitchen with low pressure. After two people had a shower there was no hot water left so make sure you use the booster switch.

Furnishings & carpets are dated and stained. The apartment needs some updating.

The dining table only seats four people.

Walking distance to Princes Street is accurate but it is another 10 minutes to the Royal Mile and significantly more to some Fringe venues. Typical taxi fare to Fringe venues such as Pleasaunce and University area £10.

General;

It is a place to sleep and little more.

Edinburgh at Festival time is expensive and this seemed a relatively reasonably priced apartment before booking. We are not overly picky about accommodation but we were disappointed as this appears to be a money making facility with little thought for guests in terms of the quality of accommodation and the accuracy of information provided.

Resposta do proprietário: Thanks for your detailed review. With regards the parking I only changed the status of the parking in September this year so that this is now included. I used to state on the site that there was free parking available which could not be reserved or we could arrange a space for you at an additional charge. It is my understanding that when you made the booking last November this was the case. I am sorry therefore for the confusion and if you had mentioned it when you moved in then I would have rectified it there and then. The neighbour, whose space we use, does charge me for this so I can assure you I do not make any money from this arrangement. As for the furnishings we are looking at improvements now that the busy summer period is over and we have already replaced all the crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment.
