The flat is just as pretty as it looks in the pictures, comfortable, and with everything you need for a home-like stay. 5 minutes walk to Primrose Hill, or to the Chalk Farm tube station on the Northern line, which we used to get both to Hampstead and central London. Ideally located.
Annette’s flat is perfectly located for vacationers. It’s in an upscale neighborhood near Camden Town, an easy walk to affordable ethnic restaurants, and a short tube ride to central London. The bed is huge, the kitchen well-equipped, and the dining area overlooks a beautiful garden. Reliable wi-fi saves on smartphone and computer charges. And the hostess responds quickly to questions and requests.
We stayed a week in this very nice flat near Belsize Park. The neighborhood is upscale with nice shops and groceries. Unit is clean, well maintained, and comfortable. The photographs are accurate and the amenities as described. Bed is comfortable, storage room adequate, bath clean. Walk to the tube is about 15 minutes with no more than 30 minutes to the City. Owner's instructions are helpful but we recommend becoming familiar with a combination washer-dryer and gas cooking before you arrive. Recommend taxi for luggage.
I rented this apartment and flew to London on extremely short notice when my father fell ill. Annette (the fabulous owner) did everything she possibly could to make the process quick, efficient and painless; even waiting while I went to my parent's home first before I went to the flat to collect the keys and allowing me to stay there two extra days while she stayed at a friend's house; unbelievably kind! The flat is large, bright, airy and beautifully decorated and kept. All the rooms are large and have modern fixtures and the bathroom is beautifully tiled throughout. The bed is large and comfortable with crisp new linens. Large picture windows have shutters that keep the home cool and open (respectively) onto a beautiful view of the leafy street or a charming back garden. The home is modern, beautifully maintained and has everything you need for a comfort and relaxation. The apartment is on the ground floor of a lovely home on a quiet street with a large entrance hall and private access to the apartment. With three underground stations within minutes walk of the apartment, even closer bus stops, and Primrose Hill, Regents Park and London Zoo on your doorstep, you couldn't hope for an apartment in a more charming, safe and peaceful area with such close proximity to the city (15 mins. by train) and other areas of London; perfect for a business visit or vacation. Adding to the charm, is the area of London in which it is located. I grew up in London, so I speak from experience. This part of north London was home to several famous artists, writers and poets and numerous celebrities currently call this area home. It is a pleasure to stroll the quiet, leafy streets admiring Victorian, Regency and Georgian architecture or to stroll in two of London's most famous parks right on your doorstep with a third just a short walk away. England's Lane and Regent's Park Road are just a few minutes walk away and have several really good restaurants and cafes where you can enjoy everything from crepes for breakfast to an elegant meal in the evening. Also a short walk away are very good pubs with great inexpensive food choices. Local stores can supply all your daily food needs and Camden Town and Swiss Cottage (a brisk walk or very short bus ride away) will provide any other needs you may have or just satisfy a need to enjoy shopping in London. Camden Town (10 minutes walk) is famous for its canal, lock and permanent street market. Thanks again Annette!
Had the pleasure of staying in this lovely apartment during the Olympics for 8 nights and had a glorious time. The apartment is very quaint, comfy, and swanky :) with essential places being within walking distance (e.g. Chalk Farm Tube Station, Sainsbury Grocery, restaurants, shops, Camden Lock Market, neighborhood parks, and the list goes on). I would definitely stay here again as well as refer friends & family traveling to London. Really could not have asked for a better experience!
We spent 1 week in this marvellous appartment, feeling exactly like at home. Beautiful furniture, quietness, comfortable bed, could we expect more? Being there both for leisure and business, it was easy to get to any place downtown by bus or tube, and then to enjoy evening diners around Hamstead Heath, picnics in the park, nice restaurants near Belsize Park. It was hard to leave the place! But I'll come back!
