Beautiful House!

Well, this house is stunning - spacious, bright & airy and fully equipped for all your holiday needs. The people we met there were very friendly, and if lazy days around a beautiful pool, or several rounds of golf are your thing, then I would recommend it.

However, the only downside for some would be the location - apart from golf, there is nothing else in the vicinity; the nearest bar and very small shop are a 45 minute walk away! You absolutely HAVE to have a car for everything - shopping, eating out, sightseeing, and even the beach - although you can see the sea, it is about 10 minutes by car to the beach. That is the only reason I personally didn't give it 5 stars.

But, on the other hand if you want a relaxing break away from it all, in an exceptionally comfortable house, then this is without doubt the answer. I would certainly recommend a glass of wine or two up on the roof terrace in the evening watching the sunset - pretty spectacular.

The customer service from the owner was outstanding, and I did come home feeling thoroughly relaxed and de-stressed. I would without doubt recommend this house to family & friends, and anyone else for that matter!

Resposta do proprietário: Thank you for the review which highlights why we bought this house. It is in an undeveloped area with fantastic views and you can experience the real Spain in villages and towns only minutes away. Yes a car is recommended, but the beauty of the location offsets having to use your car. The local shops, bars and restaurants are only 5 - 10mins drive. (Large supermarkets with deli and fresh fish counters are 5mins drive.) So you can enjoy peace and quiet at the house and venture out a few minutes by car when you want a bit more activity. If you do want to walk, the Golf Club House welcomes non-members and is a short walk down the street. They have a beautiful bar and restaurant with stunning views. The house is located beachside, and it takes 5 mins by car to reach the beach as you have to wind down a hill. However, once you reach the beach it is a long 4kms stretch of clean sand which is not built up. We are happy to welcome visitors to share our lovely home.

A very satisfactory stay.

The location was excellent for us. The facilities were sufficient to meet our needs. The property was very clean and well maintained.The Club was most useful for coffee etc and WIFI. We felt there was a peaceful, safe and secure environment. We would recommend the property to others and would like to visit it again.

appartement confortable et bien équipé

nous avons passé les fetes de Noel dans la tranquillité et le confort. L'appartement est agréable, propre et bien equipé.

Il est situé dans un village touristique entre le golf et la mer; naturellement il faut une voiture pour se déplacer. A essayer le chiringuito sur la plage du village, bon rapport qualité/prix.

lovely house with everything in it, like a home from home. Both the bedrooms have balconies with lovely views. You do need a car to get about, but there are plenty of places to visit so you can get your shopping while you are out and you have a comfortable house to go back to.

Penny and Marcus were fantastic, very accommodating, we will be recommending there properties to all our friends

A real treasure!

My wife and I spent unforgetable two weeks in this house a couple of weeks ago. It is located approx. 2km north of the beaches of Alceidesa within a splendid golfing resort.

There were so many positve aspects, however, I would like to mention some of the highlights:

-The useful/practical and charming furnishing of the rooms – there is really nothing missing!

-The quiet and pleasant neighbourhood – the other houses are mostly inhabited by Gibraltarians (giving you a bit of British atmosphere), some of them stay in their second-residency only at the weekends.

- The lovely pool – which is only a bit more crowded at the weekends due to the above mentioned reason (some days we could use it only for ourselves).

- The beautiful view from the garden as well as from the rooftop towards the Mediterian Sea (east) and towards the Cordilleras Béticas (north) – not to forget the stunning view onto Gibraltar, while walking on the beach in the mornings or evenings.

- The sights of southern Andalusia like San Roque (10min), Gibraltar (25min) Tarifa (40min), Ronda (1,5 hours), Cape Trafalgar (1 hour), Cadiz (1,5 hours).

The owners are very reliable and helpful, giving us advice and assistance.

If you are looking for a recreative but stunning area this is the right place to stay.

This won’t be our last stay for sure!
