Recently renovated to a high standard, Cobdens Cottage is quietly tucked away up a side road off the main street of Beer. With two bedrooms offering accommodation for four people in a double room and an en suite twin room, guests will be able to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the East Devon coast. Featuring oak floors throughout, and a pair of ancient elm beams, this is far from a typical property: A glass wall allows guests to watch the sloping garden at close quarters, with lower and upper decked areas and a wild meadow area in between which changes as the spring and summer pass. There are a selection of restaurants and pubs within a very short walk, as well as enough shops that you don't need to drive during your stay, and with the beach and countryside also only a short walk away it is very easy to escape from the hectic pace of modern life.
The area is steeped in history and natural history, and there are endless walking routes along the coast both east and west along the white limestone cliffs of Beer Head which give way to Devon Red sandstone and grey Lias as you venture along.
Fishing enthusiasts are spoiled with numerous shore fishing marks nearby and a fleet of both mackerel and deep sea charter boats either from Beer beach or Lyme Regis.
After a busy day the decked area outside makes a pleasant place to unwind in the evening, and let the stresses of your normal life slip away.
