The centre of Kalkan with its picturesque harbour and chic restaurants is only a 20 minute walk away. There is a 10 minute walk to the nearest Supermarket and local restaurants. A short down hill walk brings you to two beach clubs by the sea in Kalamar Bay.

Amazing villa with incredible views and infinity pool

From the moment we booked with Dave, he was super efficient and helpful and this continued throughout our stay when we needed any local recommendations from him. The villa is absolutely beautiful, in the most stunning location with incredible views. It almost felt like staying in a boutique hotel as all the furniture and fittings were all of a high quality and the attention to detail was so impressive. We had a really lovely welcome hamper on arrival, with some chilled wine and beers to help us cool down after a long hot journey, along with food for breakfast which was really appreciated. The bedrooms were all big, and the views from the bedrooms were incredible. It was about a 30 minute walk to the waterfront in the old town but it was worth it as the villa had so much space with incredible views. The pool was really warm and the sunloungers really comfortable. All the crockery and utensils appeared to be almost new and the vast array of wine glasses was appreciated! Cafe Vita is just a few minutes walk away and served very good Lavazza coffee- would recommend their cooked English breakfasts! Our favourite restaurants in Kalkan were Seaport, Doy Doy, Aubergine and Sade. Would highly recommend a trip to Saklikent gorge to go tubing and our kayaking trip to the Sunken city near Kas was a real holiday highlight.

Couldn’t wish for a better villa, clean, spacious and the perfect location

Would highly recommend. Great communication with owner, easy transfer. The villa is in the best location possible. We arrived late, fell asleep outside on the loungers and woke up to a view that you could never get bored of. The kitchen was nice and spacious, the only thing we used was the fridge, the local restaurants are amazing, never had such good food and service anywhere else, Kalkan know customer service, they have it nailed. 4am finishes at Cafe Vita just down the road from the villa eventually catch up with you! Especially when your leaving at 9am for the airport! But that’s Mustafa, I would highly recommend this bar and restaurant. Everything about our weeks stay was perfect. Thanks once again Dave, will definitely be booking your villa again, thanks for all the info leading upto to a great week.

Fantastic villa with beautiful views.

We arrived late at night and it was so nice to find the welcome pack in the fridge. We enjoyed a late night Efes by the pool! What a view from the villa even at night. What a fantastic view we woke up to. The villa position is fantastic with loads of space inside and out. Very well equipped and spacious for 6 people. Lovely sun loungers and several place to sit and take in the view. This is our second time in Kalkan, we had to come back to this pretty and friendly place. There are so many restaurants within walking distance. We had brilliant food and service. All of us have had a wonderful time in the villa. Thank you Dave for allowing us to stay.

Jodaruya is owned by Joyce and David Fisher. We live in England most of the year, but are both semi retired and are lucky enough to be able to spend 3 months each year in our beautiful villa. We have four daughters and ten grandchildren who come out to stay with us when we are there (though thankfully, not all at the same time) We didn't rent the villa out for the first four years, but as it was lying empty during the summer months we decided to have a go at renting in 2010. Although it was a worry at first we have had such good reviews from our guests, it gives us a sense of satisfaction that other people enjoy it as much as we do. We have had repeat bookings every year since, which sort of says it all.

Like most people we had spent many many years going on holiday all over Europe and other places in the world and always dreamt about owning a holiday home abroad. Although we had been to lots of lovely places nowhere really ticked all the boxes. Then in 2003 we found the Kalamar district of Kalkan. That first time we had booked a hotel. I had spoken to the owner the day before for directions, telling him what time we would be getting there. When we arrived we parked our hire car over the road from the hotel and as we got out we heard a voice say "Welcome David" This turned out to be Zeynal the owner and from that day on we have felt at home and welcome in Kalkan. Ruya is Turkish for dream and Joda is short for Joyce and David hence the villa's name JODARUYA It is our dream.

Whilst there are lots of lovely villas in Kalkan with beautiful views you will find that lots of those views are from a roof or bedroom terrace. Jodaruya has uninterrupted views from right across the front of the pool terrace so there is no need to go upstairs for that fabulous vista.
