Our home is only 3 minutes walk to the beach VRBO is listing Cayucos State Beach which is at the north end of Cayucos in error. Upside down house! Bedrooms on 1st floor living room and kitchen upstairs. This house is not listed to rent on Craigslist. Two storied with a large living room containing television with satellite service , remodeled kitchen with dining table that sits comfortably 8 people. Two extra kitchen chairs are in storage by kitchen. The kitchen is stocked with plenty of dishes and cookware with a Keurig and regular coffee maker. The back deck has a table that would accommodate at minimum 5 people and a half bath is located upstairs. Please let me know when you are a small party reserving, example you only are using 2 beds and you may only be staying 2 days. Due to the higher gas prices the housecleaning people are now charging $250.00 each time they come in no matter if all 5 beds are slept in or just two. I will give you the old price of $200.00 if only two beds are slept in when it is two couples or you are only staying 2 nights.

Downstairs 2 bedrooms have queen beds, one bedroom has a king bed and the 4th bedroom has two full size beds and a foldaway twin stored in the closet. A television for the convenience for children is located this room. . The children's room is open on one side and other bedroom occupants can access upstairs by walking through that room. Most parents like this since they can keep an eye on their children while all the adults are upstairs. There is a privacy drape that when the guests are all adults can be expanded upon request. 1 king, 2 queens and full size beds have mattress and box spring protectors on them to protect against bed bugs, although there has never been an issue with bed bugs it is a prevention measure. I know how uncomfortable I am when I stay in hotels. In the children's bedroom since it is open with less privacy for an all adult reservations a newly added drape room divider has been installed. When children are present the drape is to be locked back. Parents will have to insure the young ones do not play with the drape or jump on the beds to try and reach the drape rod. Guests will need to notify me if there is a need to have the privacy drape expanded prior to their stay.

A newly remodeled full bath is located near these bedrooms. The fourth bedroom is has a bathroom with shower. Washer and dryer is provided. Two charcoal grills are on the back patio with a patio table please note that grills are not to be moved to upstairs decks. For the sandy beach trips there is a heated outside shower and a rack to hang the beach towels out. There is a cottage behind main house that is occupied by a tenant year round that in no way hinders your privacy or fun. Within the two years of having the cottage occupied the previous vacation rental guests have had no problems with this person. Parking in the driveway can easily fit 3 cars and depending on the size if compact 4 can fit in the driveway. I ask that the street side space to the right of the driveway be reserved for the back cottage tenant. A car can also back up to the neighbors mailbox to the right making room for the two cars in front of the house.
This home is older and updating is being done when the house is not occupied so the pricing is set at an affordable rate. WIFI service is included. Smart tv allows you to access your movie subscriptions accounts, you must use your logon so make sure you sign out before vacating.

Special note. I have been allowing dogs to stay. Within the last 30 days I have had two issues with guests that have their dog with them. One guest allowed their dog to lay on the decorative comforters on two beds and track in mud on the floor. I went in after the house cleaner and washed the comforters in this bedroom. If I had guests coming in the same day there would not have been time to wash these over-sized comforters. The most recent guests had three dogs when they only paid a deposit for one unfortunately one urinated on the carpet. The carpet cleaning service charges $300.00.. The pet fee of $100.00 is for each dog. Today I just added back to my rental agreement the refundable $500.00 damage deposit all unreported dogs will cause a fee to be deducted from the deposit . Recently a Ring video camera was added because although I accept dogs to stay I have had guests stay without informing me that they have a dog with them. I know from being a dog owner how important it is to bring a loved pet with me. It is important for me to be aware that there is a dog in the house so that the housekeeper will know to check spots for urine and treat them accordingly.

We really enjoyed our stay. The host was welcoming and check in was easy. Communication was quick if there was a problem. The house was ideal for us as it was close to family. It had a well-stocked kitchen. all was very clean and orderly. Very comfortable beds too. We had a lovely stay and would stay there again.

Steps to beach
We enjoyed our third stay at this very clean home. The large living room had comfortable seating for our family of ten. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking and dining together. The front and back upstairs decks were spacious for viewing ocean waves and sunsets.

Cayucos house on 11th
We had a lovely stay over the holidays. My whole family really enjoyed the home. Very easy to get to the beach. Great kitchen - made it easy to throw a delicious holiday dinner. The host even had it decorated for the holidays. We have been coming to Cayucos for years to visit family. We would definitely stay in this home again. Thanks so much!

Great Location, lots of room
This is a great property! The house is very comfortable and it's a quick walk to get to the beach. There's plenty of room and the balconies are large and have some good views.

This home has been in the family since it was built. Many memorable times have been shared among our family. My sons played on the beach here at Cayucos along with their cousins and now today not only myself but the cousins have grandchildren playing and enjoying this beach. I am the manager of the house. I am retired from a banking and financial occupation after working for more that 36 years in the field, 35 years at the same bank. I live in Bakersfield, CA where summers are in excess of 100 degrees so like many people, who live in the San Joaquin Valley, " the coast" is where we escape to. The picture I posted includes my son and daughter-in-law and my one and only grandchild.

The original grand parents that bought the empty lots the house was built on lived in Bakersfield also. They purchased the land around 1950. I wished we were as smart as they were, land was so much more affordable then.

Close to the beach that you can hear the ocean. Views of the ocean and in the opposite direction the mountains. Close for beach walks and when nature calls close to the house and 2.5 bathrooms!
There is a pet seagull I named Heathcliff that visits every now and then looking for a treat and to my amazement he/she hasn't told his buddies.
Morro Bay is close by but if you want to shop the bigger city San Luis Obispo is a 20 minute drive. SLO is a unique town to visit as well as Cambria to the North on HWY 1.
