Trevara is a beautiful, characterful cottage. A lot bigger than expected and in a perfect setting with views over to St Michael's Mount. Only a few minutes walk into the small town with a few lovely shops and some great places to eat, we particularly enjoyed the food at the Godolphin. A very child and dog friendly place with a gorgeous beach, we enjoyed every minute of our stay over the new year. The cottage has everything you need, it's like home from home and the Xmas decorations were lovely. Thank you
We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful property. Marazion is a charming town and the house is easy walking distance from everything. The house had plenty of space for our entire family and the recently updated master bathroom was gorgeous.
The only tiny critique I had was the information book. It possibly could have contained more information about the house.. such as the spare key, how to work the oven, that there was WIFI (which we didn't expect, but noticed in the corner of the master bedroom). These are really very minor details, and certainly nothing that detracted from our enjoyment of the property. When you can sit on the balcony with a glass of wine and watch the sun set over St. Michael's Mount do small details really matter? :)
What a great holiday we have had. The property was amazing with views from the grounds ans balcony out toward st Michael's mount. A great place to relax and explore Cornwall from would highly recommend
We had an unforgettable week at Trevara. We are a family 5, with 3 teenagers. The house had good space for all of us and was very well equipped. The view was beautiful and the location perfect for exploring Cornwall. Marazion was also a very charming village with St. Michaels Mount in walking distance (by low tide), restaurants and cafes. Communication and interaction with the owner, Sally, and the housekeeper, Janet, was very easy, although we didn't need much interaction, as everything was on course. The house was clean and in good shape, and the facilities as described in the advertisement. The car entrance was narrow as we were informed, but we carefully drove our rental car, a Ford Galaxy through it each day, without trouble. Just follow the instructions you get about the house/property.
We would be very happy to visit Trevara and Cornwall again! Thanks for a relaxing and wonderful week!
Having enjoyed several excellent holidays in 'Trevara', we decided to have a change this year and go to 'Little Trevara'. Although presented to the same high standards, this delightful holiday cottage has a style and character all of its own. The kitchen, family area and large terrace on the first floor are arranged to make the very most of the open views over the sea and the imposing St Michaels Mount, while the two bedrooms and bathroom below are relaxing and comfortable. As always there was lots to do in the area, but this time - apart from visiting good pubs, restaurants and gardens - we tended to stay put and just 'chill out' in this lovely, tranquil setting.
This is truly a dream vacation home. The only problem with it is that you will eventually have to leave. The parking was a bit scary the first time but after that, getting in and out was very doable. My other concern had been whether my 6'5" husband would have trouble with the low beams... He did hit his head one time but that was when he was wearing a hat with a brim. Don't wear a brimmed hat in the house and the height of the ceilings isn't a problem. Staying at this home may've been our best vacation ever. Thank you Sally and Janet!
