Most scenic spot in all the Black Hills! Two bedroom, two bath cabin on Rapid Creek just 1.5 miles off scenic Rimrock Hwy - perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy nature. You'll find peace, quiet and relaxation at our private, adults-only vacation property. Maximum 4 people per county regulations; no exceptions. Large open great room with natural rock fireplace and 50" 4K Smart TV. Extra large covered 12x40' deck with gas grill overlooks the creek and faces a beautiful canyon wall that is truly stunning. There are spotlights that illuminate the canyon wall at night - it is pretty incredible. The sound of the creek lulls you to sleep at night. Pure tranquility. One bedroom has a king size bed and 2nd bedroom has a queen size bed - all with comfortable, deluxe bedding and own bathrooms.
Nice central location in the Black Hills - 15 minutes from Rapid City and approximately 30 to 45 minutes to all tourist destinations such as Keystone, Mt. Rushmore, Hill City, Crazy Horse, Custer, Deadwood.
Everything you need is provided so you enjoy your stay in the beautiful Black Hills. Full kitchen plus all linens and towels included. Both Keurig brewer and Mr. Coffee pot are available for your morning cup of coffee overlooking the creek.
For your safety and peace of mind, this cabin is licensed through the South Dakota Department of Health.
No smoking is allowed, either inside or outside including the grounds. This includes cigarettes, cigars, pipes and e-cigarettes. Please, only non-smokers inquire about this property.

Perfect

This cabin is tucked away in a perfect spot close to state parks, monuments and quaint small towns. The deck view is with the sound of the running stream is peaceful and relaxing. The cabin itself is clean and quaint with every necessary detail thought of. We loved it!

Exceptional!

This is the best VRBO rental in the Black Hills! Do not hesitate to book your vacation. Perfect location between all the “go to” attractions! Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Devils Tower, Bad Lands, etc. What a beautiful and relaxing place to come home to after an incredible day exploring all that the Black Hills has to offer! (Don’t miss the Buffalo Roundup if you’re lucky enough to be here for it. Incredible!) Relax on the back porch and listen to the sound of the creek rushing over the rocks while being mesmerized by the beauty of the rock cliff wall that never gets boring to look at. Can’t say enough about the serenity and beauty this place has to offer. Even better than the pictures! Pam is a wonderful host and readily accessible for any questions and has wonderful suggestions. Do not hesitate to book. You will not be disappointed! We will definitely be coming back. Thanks, Pam!

Wonderful--Perfect

Well appointed, very clean, and just down right comfortable. Was exceedingly quiet and the surrounding stream and cliffs outside added so much to the serenity of the place. Just wonderful.

Beautiful property on Rapid creek. Back porch ovrlooking the creek and canyon wall. Impeccably maintained property, super friendly hosts! Best ever.

My husband, Tom and I are transplants to South Dakota and the Black Hills. He is originally from Virginia, and I am from Texas. We couldn't be happier that we ended up in one of the best kept secrets in America. We have four children and 8 grandchildren and we enjoy hiking and skiing and exploring the Black Hills. We just finished hiking all of the 121 miles of the South Dakota Centennial Trail that weaves its way through some of the most scenic spots in the Black Hills.

The Creek Front Cabin was originally built by my grandparents in the early 1960's, and I have been fortunate enough to take care of it for the past 40 years.

I love this place. The rugged beauty of the canyon, the sound of the rippling creek, the private setting, and the deck make it a tranquil setting that is truly one of a kind.

I can't think of anything better than curling up with a good book on the hammock underneath the huge covered 40' long deck. Listening to the calming effects of the creek is the best R & R a person could ever dream of ...
Yes, there is fishing right from the backyard and a whole variety of wildlife and birds have been seen over the years. To date, we've seen over 33 different birds, plus mink, raccoons, turkey and deer to name a few.

The location of the cabin in the Hisega area adds so much history and charm. This neighborhood dates back to 1908 and it was named after the first letters of six women who visited here then: Helen, Ida, Sade, Ethel, Grace and Ada.

These women were part of a camping party, and later cabins were built, along with the Hisega Lodge. It was a true vacation resort for folks coming from the prairies of eastern South Dakota by train. The full story of how Hisega transformed over the years is in the cabin for you to discover.

Many, many people have told me that the setting is the "nicest spot in all the Black Hills". I couldn't agree more. This isn't just a "place to stay" - it is a place to experience ...

My grandparents would be happy that I have made it available for others to enjoy.
