Cozy, comfortable, had everything we needed; the oven is very small, but we did know that. Nice that there was a DVD player and some DVD’s. The driveway is quite steep, especially at the top, so when we arrived at dark it was a little unsettling. But we managed fine. (A light at the driveway and a fence would be helpful). And some blinds on the windows for morning sunlight would be nice. But it was very comfortable, and we enjoyed our stay.
The cabin is so well located and secluded that I wished I owned it. I never saw a person or a car during our three-night stay there. I enjoyed looking out the windows to watch the nor'easter pass through. The colorful leaves blowing and falling off the trees reminds me of why it's my favorite time of the year. The wood stove was perfect for our s'mores-eating binges. It was also a short drive to the town of Boone, but we enjoyed just staying in the cabin for two of those days.
The cabin was very comfortable. I had the bedroom, which had every convenience I needed. My son took the sofa bed, that as usual, isn't the most comfy, but sufficed during our short stay. The WiFi was sketchy, but it may have been due to the weather this weekend. It didn't keep us from enjoying our shows or communicating with family and friends. There's unreliable cell service up there for phone calls, but texts were getting through just fine.
It was peaceful, beautiful, clean, safe and all around the best cabin I've stayed in that is surrounded by nature.
Very clean. Had trouble with the WiFi, but got it fixed quickly. Would recommend to a couple wanting to get away.
Needs a little updating, but nice overall.
Cabin was clean and everything worked. Directions were good and easy to find (even at night). Plenty of linens and lots of basic items (salt, sugar, coffee, etc.) were provided, thank you. Cabin heated up quickly (it was cold out). Nice view, though minimal, very secluded, yet close to town. Queen bed was very comfortable and even though cabin is secluded, curtains in the bedroom and the bathroom are needed. Small fireplace worked fine and wood was provided (directions on using the fireplace would be a good idea for the novice). Love the mountains, we'll be back !
Very nice getaway! Quiet and secluded yet close enough to town. Not perfect though. The cottage had no blinds for any of the windows including bedroom and bath. And while I get that it’s secluded it’s not without neighboring cabins. Further I like dark bedrooms and there was lots of light with the moon and evening sky. The cable is very basic so not much on. Not a big deal because we went to hike not watch tv. Lastly I have never stayed in a place where they post a sign saying it’s NC law to take trash when you go. I didn’t recall that when making the reservation. Not sure if I would have decided to rent. And lastly fees were as much or more than the actual rental fee. Again it’s a very nice place but there are some things you should consider before renting. I will probably consider staying elsewhere.
Very cute property!
We loved our stay at this cute, cozy little cabin. The view from the porch was great, and the privacy couldn't be better. We would definitely stay here again!
