Casa Rosina is a haven of peace and tranquility set in a hamlet only 5 kms from the white village of Periana. The perfect get away from it all location in the mountains of Andalucia , ideal for all ages wanting to leave behind the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It's one hour's drive from Malaga and located along an easily accessible track. The house is full of character with traditional features including wooden beams and hand made tiled floors. The rooms are stylishly decorated with Moroccan and Spanish textiles and furniture.
With its own private pool and BBQ area, the front and back sun terraces offer stunning open views to the mountains, lake Viñuela and Mediterranean sea. Relax and sunbath in the privacy of your own swimming pool and sunbathing area with stunning views towards the coast. The 2 terraces capture the sun all day round with breath-taking views across the valley, perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine and watching the sun go down. Enjoy al fresco eating next to your very own fig tree in our outdoor dining area with a traditional Mediterranean BBQ. The well-made track to the house winds its way through olive groves, assorted fruit trees and wild flowers providing a romantic backdrop to this peaceful, mountain retreat. Perfect for all seasons, whether you want to enjoy the sun by the pool or get cosy by the wood burning stove in the cooler weather in early spring, late autumn and winter when with more temperate weather offers many opportunities for walks and other sporting activities.
Casa Rosina has a fully equipped kitchen with an electric oven and gas hob. There are plenty of dishes, drinking glasses and cooking utensils. The washing machine and dish washer are located in the utility room. In keeping with a Mediterranean atmosphere the four bedrooms are stylishly decorated with Moroccan textiles and traditional Spanish furniture.
Children of all ages are welcome! We provide a cot and high chair. The pool is fenced off with a lockable gate to prevent small children from wandering into the pool area unsupervised.
The fascinating Moorish cities of Granada, Cordoba and Sevilla are all in easy reach by car. The coast is only a half hour drive with many beaches and coves and small towns to explore. Nearby Lake Viñuela has ideal picnic areas and Lake Benamajales is great place to swim, have picnics and go paddle boarding. The mountain tracks and roads are ideal for the keen cyclist. Mount La Maroma and the national park with fabulous walks are easily reached and worth a visit.
The nearby white village of Periana has plenty of shops, tapas bars and restaurants. There are also banks with ATMs and a post office. Local festivals held throughout the spring and summer months are great ways to join in and enjoy local traditional festivities!
The major shopping mall El Ingenio, has a large supermarket Eroski, clothing and interior shops and a cinema, 10 pin bowling alley and a wide selection of restaurants. There are also several other supermarkets and local shops in nearby Velez Malaga and Torre del Mar. Aqua Velez water park in Velez Malaga is a fun day out for all the family.
There are several golf courses along the coast within easy reach of Casa Rosina. Baviera Golf in Torre del Mar is the nearest 18 hole golf club. We can pre book rounds for guests.
