The sand is just a few steps away, down a sturdy set of stairs. The beach is great for exploring tide pools, swimming, kayaking and surfing. If you do not have your own board or kayak, nearby Goleta Beach has board and kayak rentals, in addition to offering pier fishing.
If you are attending a special event at UCSB or the Bacara Resort, this is the perfect place to stay. Close to the airport, UCSB, Sandpiper Golf Course, the Bacara, the new first-class ice skating rink, and more, the house is located in the residential West Village of Isla Vista. It is just a few doors away from the West Campus Bluff Trail, which is a segment of the California Coastal Trail. This segment runs from the western edge of Isla Vista to Coal Oil Point Reserve in Santa Barbara County. The West Campus Bluffs is being restored to its original natural habitat.
