This newer home is five minutes from downtown Hood River. Located in the hills above Eastside Drive, ZipHaus has panoramic views of Mt. Hood and the orchards of the Hood River Valley. Enjoy gorgeous sunsets or relax to birdsong on our front deck. You’ll love being close to all the action Hood River has to offer, but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet.

ZipHaus has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, with the master suite on the main floor. The master has incredible views of the valley and Mt. Hood, a king bed, walk-in closet and a private full bath. The upstairs has two bedrooms (one king, one queen), two twin beds tucked into the wall of the TV room (which has a 55" flat screen, Dish and Roku), and another full bath. There's a half bath on the main floor off the laundry room. There's also a Pak N' Play and a booster style high chair for littler guests.

The kitchen is roomy and open to the dining and living rooms. It has plenty of storage and a large island with seating for four. The dining room seats six with room to spare and has fantastic views of Mt. Hood and the Valley. The living room features a gas fireplace, a 55" flat screen television, and double glass doors to the front deck. There's WiFi throughout the house. A gas grill on the back patio is available for your use, and the front deck is a relaxing place to enjoy the views with a cup of coffee or a glass of local beer or wine.

Hood River is an outdoor sporting mecca – bicycling, wind surfing, hiking, skiing, kayaking, SUP and just about any other snow or water sport you can think of! Our garage is perfect for storing all of your outdoor gear.

Located just five minutes off I-84, ZipHaus has easy access to the Fruit Loop, Mosier Twin Tunnels, the Whoopdee Trail for hiking and mountain biking, and great cycling routes right out the front door. The Hood River Chamber of Commerce has fantastic links to the many, MANY fun things to see and do in Hood River. (http://hoodriver.org/travelers-guide/things-to-do)

In the winter, you're just 30-40 minutes from world class downhill skiing at Mt. Hood Meadows, miles of cross-country skiing at Teacup Lake and Cooper Spur Mountain (along with some easy downhill runs), sledding at Little Jon and White River Sno Parks, and miles and miles of snowshoeing.

Loved our stay at Ziphaus

House was even larger and brighter than the photos. Very comfortable for 2 couples and a toddler. New house, large kitchen, great views of Mount Hood. Highly recommend it and would definitely come back.

Awsome Mt.Hood View!

Beautiful house, nice design. Very clean. Very large windows to see the beautiful Mt Hood and the surrounding pear orchards. Quiet. On a dead end street so hardly any traffic driving by. This is out in the country, 8 minutes from town. Very serene.

Exceptional Property, Blew Us Away!

Our stay was a family celebration for my daughter's birthday which included 6 of us (husband/I, our 2 daughters & their boyfriends). We all agreed that Diane's amazing home was what created such a special weekend for us & bonded our family even closer. The home itself is stunning in its design, decor & jaw dropping views of Mt. Hood & the bucolic farm land, viewed from the floor to ceiling windows. So much natural light! Open, spacious floor plan with comfy furniture invited us to relax and bond together or there were private spaces if we chose solitude. Fully stocked, especially the kitchen (There's a coffee maker, tea & powdered creamer but I'd bring your own coffee). We took morning walks,went into town which is only 10-15 min drive away, but otherwise just relaxed. We had a minor issue with the guest toilet but Diane responded immediately & all was well. Diane as a host was so friendly & excellent in every way, especially her prompt communication. Highly recommend!!!

Orchard Oasis

Great location. Amazing views and easy access to Hwy 35 and Mt. Hood. But still only 3-4 miles from town. Newer house in good shape with all of the amenities. Perfect for three couples, with three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. We loved the gas fireplace. TVs in living room and upstairs sitting room. We would definitely rent this house again.

Lovely Home with a View

This is a very nice, comfortable, spacious home with a great view of Mt. Hood above the pear orchard across the road. Nice rural feel to the property which suits us. We even saw a deer in the back yard! Well stocked kitchen for doing Thanksgiving dinner, and even some jigsaw puzzles for a puzzle fan! Visited places that were new to us: The Gorge White House with a great "food truck", an antique airplane and automobile museum - huge, a large antique store across the river in Bingen where my husband found some tools and I found other treasures. There were also many football games to watch at the house and enjoy them in great comfort. Thank you, Diane, for all your help and for sharing your home which gave us a very memorable Thanksgiving.

We bought this property in 2008. We'd looked up and down the Hood River Valley for over a year for a property that spoke to us, and fell in love with the view from Old Dalles Drive immediately. We were finally able to build in 2015 and absolutely love ZipHaus! It's amazing to sit on the front deck and just...be. You can see the planes landing at the airport on the west side of the valley, watch all kinds of birds winging by (including a flock of wild turkeys, though they mostly trot around the orchards), and watch Mt. Hood as the sun crosses overhead and eventually sets behind the hills of the Cascades. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
