It took us two days of cleaning before we felt the place was liveable. Fridge, counters, dishes, table and chairs, BBQ, easy chair with obvious goop on it...all needed to be cleaned before use.
On our third day, wind from the attic space blew insulation onto our food on the counter. Very upsetting for our granddaughter and her parents to breathe in that dust. Her bunk bed had lots child’s hair and hand prints on the wall. And that was the best one of the bunks.
I hate giving negative reviews. If the owner had offered some compensation, I’d be more positive. He thanked me for notifying him but that’s it.
There are some nice new outdoor sitting areas but the view is marred by stored garbage outside, ie: abandoned BBQ, car, and various odds and ends. Much of the area near the house was marked with caution tape because it’s a construction zone.
The move-in instructions were simply a list of DON’Ts. Most of were for things that didn’t not work or weren’t yet properly connected yet.
We left the place much, much cleaner than we found it. However, the place left many of our family with a disagreeable overall impression.
The new cedar construction on the balcony/deck and outdoor sitting areas look very nice and I’m sure the whole house will look nice someday.
But in the meantime, I recommend you rent elsewhere.
