We were very impressed with Renfro. He took time to answer our questions and recommend places to visit.
Spectacular accommodation and access to lake, sauna and hot tub!
Wonderful stay! The cabin was perfect in so many ways. We had fires in the cabin and on the porch daily. We also utilized the sauna, hot tub and fire pit at the communal area on the lake frequently. Running pack and forth from the cold lake into the sauna is a wonderful experience and I recommend all guest take full advantage of this lovely spot!
off grid cabin
to experience the Alaska way of vacationing...it was a great time! peace and quiet, with the sound of the train...hit the rivers and brought home some fish!
This was a hit with my wife, 27 year old daughter and myself. The location was perfect for us
It was great! Gary the property manager is a professional providing an informative and thorough check in and responded very quickly to any questions we had. Jan is the owner and he was around most of the time. He is very warm and if you ask he will tell you about the cabins and his time living in Alaska.
The cabins are dry but spacious with large overhangs for when it rains (hopefully soon as 30 days with no rain has fire danger very high)
The community shower is hot with a great view across Kenai Lake.
It's not for every one since you use an outhouse and have to hand pump and haul your water but it was perfect for us old tent campers.
Great quiet and dreamy spot
We lived everything about our stay at the cabin here. It is a bit outside of town but we found the drive to be beautiful and worth it for the quietness and beauty that surrounds the cabin. Our family enjoyed the off the grid experience. We loved the time spent in the sauna as well as quiet evenings in the cabin.
My family of six loved our stay here! The kids enjoyed the novelty of pumping and hauling water in the cart, getting wood. Beautiful place in beautiful setting that felt remote. The only reason it isn’t five star is because of all the things they ask of you- sweeping out cabin, replenishing wood used, preparing kindling for next guest. At the price point we paid for this dry cabin, I’d expect this be done for guests.
