We are located between the magnificent Olympic Mountains and the Strait of Juan De Fuca in the quaint city of Sequim. Pronounced “S’kwim” in the native language of the S’ Klallam Tribe, it means “Quiet Waters”. Because of its proximity to the mountains we sit in a rain shadow, and only get 16 inches of rainfall per year. Many refer to our location as the “banana belt” of Washington State. In fact – our climate is similar to Provence, France, the Lavender Capitol of the world. For this reason, we have around 40 lavender farms in the Sequim-Dungeness valley. Gaining recognition from all over the country, the Lavender Festival is an annual event you will want to experience. The 3rd weekend in July.
The Discovery Trail is paved that runs from Discovery Bay to Port Angeles. Ideal for bicyclist and walkers alike. Hurricane Ridge is 45 minutes away. Overlooks the Olympic mountains. The Ferry to Victoria, Canada is only 15 minutes away in Port Angeles.
Occasionally we have deer that stroll across our property that is fun to watch. With a ”She Garden Shed,” you are welcome to enter it and walk out to the garden. If you like to plant flowers or vegetables there’s usually something to plant have fun. In June and July, we have the best and juiciest plum trees to pick from for your enjoyment. As well as August/September apples. Feel free to grab vegetables and herbs for your meals. A bbq is also available as well as benches in various places to sit and read a book or simply rest.
