Dirty house, TVs didn't work, very dated furniture

The day we arrived, which was on a Friday afternoon, we saw that the bathrooms weren't cleaned. There was dirt and sand in the tubs. There appeared to be a blood stain on the comforter of the room my husband and I slept in. There was sand and hair on the sheets of the bed my daughters slept in. The floor wasnt swept or mopped. Our feet were black by the end of the first day. My mom called the manager early on Saturday to ask that they do a deep cleaning while we would be gone for the day. When she was told about all the things that were wrong, she wasnt apologetic about it. It was as though she was annoyed at our complaints. I believe this was because she doesnt hire a professional cleaning business, she cleans the house herself along with some help from family. There are 4 TVs in the main living area. One was a flat screen and the others were super old TVs. Only the flat screen worked and one of the old TVs to use the VCR. The TVs in the bedrooms were all super old as well. I'm talking the big box round screen kind and NONE of them worked. The manager said this was because they were still contemplating on getting digital cable. The pinball machine and one of the slot machines didnt work. There was an ancient stereo in the main living area as well but it was useless and didn't work let alone have an option to plug in your auxiliary cord. It was that old. The house itself is truly beautiful and perfect for families. The slot machines, pool table and the little private beach is really cool but everything inside needs to: #1 be cleaned professionally prior to guests arriving #2 a complete upgrade on all items inside.

Fabulous home for large group vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this home. There were 12 of us and we fit beautifully. Plenty of room to spread out and do our own thing: jet ski, hang out on the balcony with its misters or down in the river on our large party raft, work on one of the many puzzles, play pool, air hockey, pinball, or slot machines, and then come back together for a family dinner and some TV time. The home is clean and in good repair, with beautiful master baths and kitchen. The first reason for only a 4 star instead of 5: my husband and my bed (the upstairs master without a bathtub) was way too firm. I would chalk this up to personal preference except that my brother's girlfriend sat on it thinking they would take that room and then jumped up and said, "Uh, no." We took it thinking she was just being particular, but she wasn't! I even felt a little achy in the morning, almost like I had sleep on the floor. My kids all sat on it and agreed. The other reason for the reduced rating is the rising and lowering of the water level. While I know this is no fault of the owner, we had to spend some time figuring out how to handle the jet skis so they wouldn't get damaged by the rocks when the water level went down at night. We decided to clear rocks out and tie them close to shore at night (we went and bought extra anchors) so that they would be sitting on sand when the water level dropped at night. Then we couldn't use them until it rose again at around 2:00, which was fine because we tend to be late starters anyway after late nights chatting. We could have taken them out of the water every night, but that was the reason we had rented lakefront! I honestly don't know how a boat owner would make it work. Anyway, we did and still had a wonderful time!

It doesn't help much when you either want more water or less. It does vary by the seasons and conditions.

Wonderful family vacation home.

This is a wonderful family vacation home. The view from the deck which overlooks the crystal clear Colorado River was beautiful - always shaded so very comfortable. The mountains in the distance provided an unforgettable picture.

Vickey, the property manager, was wonderful in helping with anything we needed. The home was well stocked with towels, sheets, cooking supplies and grills. It is a huge house with lots of toys to please everyone - air hockey, pool, pinball, darts and slot machines.

The beach area provided lots of fun for our grandkids. They loved looking for shells, feeding ducks and wading in the water.

It was an unforgettable experience and we would recommend this property to anyone interested in a relaxing adventure.

Vacation with Friends

Our family and long time friends have vacationed in Laughlin/Bullhead City every year for the last 15 years. We have stayed in hotels, rented house boats on the lake and rented homes directly on the river like this one. I have to say...This home has been our favorite so far. The home is large and very comfortable. We had quite a big group and they all had something to keep them occupied when we weren't boating/jet skiing on the river. The slot machines, pool table, air hockey much fun! The house was also well stocked with everything that was needed for our stay. We brought 4 seadoos and they fit very nicely on the beach in front of the house. Thanks to Vickey for being so wonderful on the booking process. Hope to book again for our trip next year!

Great family fun!

My family and I had a wonderful time at the house. The large kitchen and dining area were great for our large family dinners. Everyone had a blast playing any of the six slot machines and pinball machine. The large patio was wonderful for sitting out at night watching the sun go down or in the morning eating breakfast. In the morning while the water was low the kids had a blast playing on the beach and there was plenty of room to anchor three boats. All in all it was a fantastic family trip and we look forward to our next trip out.
