The apartment really is located perfectly and the private beach was very quiet when we visited late Oct, still weather was perfect for sunbathing. Lot's appliances for cooking your own food.
Can't think of a better location--Seacrest is far enough away from tourist-bogged Seaside and still on the same snow white beach. Restaurant food options are satisfactory, but we ate fresh seafood from nearby Goatfeathers market and cooked it at the condo. All the dishes and pots we needed were provided. The beach is just a few steps down, and that made it easy to bring all the beach paraphernalia. The porch has a great open view of the sea, sunset including, without getting up. The place was quiet, clean, and furnished in the way that two people could do their own thing in the living room at the same time, to make the most of the space. Two tvs (living room and bedroom) also made separate activities possible. Definitely recommend the place.
The location is great. It's right on the beach. You can't get much closer to the water. We were there in mid September, and the beach wasn't crowded at all. If you like a 1st floor unit where you can walk straight out to the beach this is a great option.
The kitchen has been recently updated. Countertops, cabinets, and appliances all looked brand new. It's the best part of the condo other than the location.
We did have a few negatives though...
We were without internet service for the week. The owner was having issues prior to our stay with the wifi, and it wasn't repaired while we were there. She was working on it, and I believe was trying to solve it, but it was an issue for us. The owner was quick to respond to a few issues that we had when we arrived.
The condo has a tv in the bedroom, but it doesn't have cable service. It does have a DVD player. If the wifi had been working this wouldn't have been as big of a deal since we could have streamed Netflix (you do need to bring your own streaming device).
The condo is of similar size to other 1 bedroom units that we have stayed in, but it felt cluttered to us which gave it a smaller feeling than it actually is. The bunkbeds are in the living room area rather than in the hallway as they are in many units, and that played into this as well.
My biggest complaint would be with using the word "luxurious" in it's description. It' a nice condo, and the kitchen has been recently updated, but luxurious is not an accurate description. It's typical of most 1 bedroom condos we've rented along 30A. The kitchen is really nice, but overall it falls short of luxurious.
When we arrived the unit was suppose to be cleaned and ready by 4:00 checkin. It was not and it was 5:30 before it was cleaned and ready. The unit needs to be updated. The toliet seat was broken and the shower curtain had mold on it. We were given very few towels to use and only two hand towels. The towels were also mismatched and need to be replaced. The walls in the bath and kitchen had places where they needed to be painted. The microwave was old and had stains inside. The outside porch furniture was mismatch as well as the cushions all torn and old. There were lamps with no light bulbs. All of the linens for the beds and curtains need to be updated. When we arrived the wifi would not work but Alma was on top of it trying to help find the problem. Alma seemed to be very concerned about being quick to respond to needs. The unit just was not what I was hoping for as far as it being clean and updated. The view was great but the accommodations were just not up to par for the area.
As soon as we walk in and see and hear the ocean right out on our patio, we go "Ahhhhhh, we're at the beach." We were out at the beach paddle boarding in the calm beautiful morning, boogie boarding the waves in the afternoon and enjoying the sunset in the evening as the moon rose opposite it. The unit has everything you need or want..... from quartz countertop, nice frig, double oven to a washing machine that also dries your clothes! Alma is a pleasure to correspond with and is so responsive to any questions. We will choose to stay at her place when we travel to 30A again.
The condo was right on the wonderful beach of 30A. However there was nothing luxurious about the condo or completely renovated. The outlet covers were painted over and dirty. The cabinets in the kitchen were missing knobs. There were are least 10 light bulbs missing, which left it dark and dismissal especially with the dark linens and dark bedding. There where nail holes in the walls and the drapes were ragged with plywood holding up the rods. The was a plastic end table that had burn marks on the top next to the couch. The outdoor furniture was rusted and the cushions were ripped and extremely faded. The microwave had rust on the inside. The description is misleading and false.
I would not recommend this property to anyone, not because of the wonderful location or fabulous restaurants nearby, but because of the condition of the unit.
