Construído em 2005, este acomodando chalé de esqui é projetado e decorado especialmente para férias em família. É perfeito para 6-10 pessoas (1-2 famílias), mas vai dormir até 12. Muito bom para pequenos retiros, férias em família dupla, ou grupos de jovens pequenos. Temos uma família de seis (quatro crianças) e, muitas vezes entreter outra família de quatro para o fim de semana. Funciona perfeitamente.

Vamos ficar e desfrutar de tudo o que Winter Park e do Grand County tem para oferecer.

Localizado na subdivisão Ptarmigan acima do Safeway em Fraser, este local exclusivo oferece a disponibilidade de todos os serviços da cidade, incluindo serviço de transporte gratuito por toda a cidade, descendo a colina até Safeway, o monte da tubulação, e, claro, a área de esqui.

Great property, spacious, awesome deck, great location, recommend staying here

We stayed at this house over July 4th weekend. Ryan was very easy to work with and extremely responsive. We would definitely stay here again. The house was in a great location -- about 2 miles from downtown Winter Park. It was also on a bus line, although you have to call for pickup as the bus does not make regular stops. The kitchen had plenty of pans and dishes. We brought our own spices and condiments; however, the kitchen looked well stocked in this area. There was an awesome, large deck that opened off the kitchen and den with plenty of room for lots of people. We didn't need A/C, although the downstairs bedrooms could use a fan (seemed a little stuffy albeit we didn't sleep in those rooms). The master bedroom is quite large with plenty of drawer and closet space. We were a bit disappointed it didn't have a king bed as there is plenty of room for it. And frankly, the queen bed wasn't that comfortable. The in-suite bathroom was a double vanity -- again very spacious. There were two negative items for us: one, due to the style of the metal stairs to the front door, our little dog couldn't go up/down them. This wouldn't be an issue for a bigger dog with bigger feet. Two, we were disappointed in the pet run as there was no grass -- just dirt, rocks, pine combs and weeds. There was also a lot of building debris under the walk leading to the pet run which invites trouble for a small dog. Plus, our dog had a hard time making it from the ground to the first step (oh, the troubles of being short). Nonetheless, the stairs and dog run aren't a deal breaker for us so we would stay here again. We didn't use the not-so private hot tub, but nice that it was available. This house would be ideal for a family that planned on skiing as it had plenty of room. The two car garage would be a huge plus in winter.

Resposta do proprietário: Thanks for the five star response Melissa! Note to readers about the review: 1. The bus line runs on a regular schedule during the ski season, just not during the summer. In fact, I didn't think it ran at all during the summer so I am glad that you can call and request it. I think that may be a new service in the valley. 2. You never need AC up in the Fraser Valley. There are windows in every bedroom to air it out if needed. 3. The master bedroom does have a queen bed as advertised, it is a firm mattress. I personally think it is very comfortable, but my wife agrees that it is a little firm for her. So, I guess it depends on your preference. This is the first time anybody has ever commented on it. 4. The metal stairs up to the front door are there for a purpose. During the winter, people are often walking up them with snowy ski boots on and the metal stairs hold up to the wear and tear as well as help knock snow off boots before entering the house. 5. Sorry there is no grass in the dog run area. There is very little grass in this neighborhood anywhere and it's not really feasible to put in a sprinkler system to keep grass growing in that environment, so we choose to keep the dog run the same as the natural mountain environment. 6. The hot-tub is private in that it is only for the use of people staying in our house. It is in a fenced area accessible only from the kitchen of the house. This is a neighborhood though, full of numerous homes and condos so other houses do backup to the back of our house, so it's not completely secluded. But there are some trees and when the hot tub lid is lifted open, the lid and trees privacy from most neighboring windows. Great Place to Stay

Was a wonderful retreat! The house was wonderful, clean and comfortable. We were blessed to have a little snow during our stay. Great neighborhood, close to the store. We felt at home, away from home.

Highly recommend Sunset Chalet to anyone looking for a mountain view that is is incredible, and a home that is well stocked, and comfortable.

Winter Wonderland

We had such a good time. Plenty of room for both families. It snowed the whole weekend so it made it even more enjoyable. As a mom I especially enjoyed the house because it was so clean. We would love to use this home again next year.

Great for Family Vacation

Vacation home was very clean and beautiful, everything was just as described. Very close to everything we needed and lots of fun summer activities in the area. There were five of us and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax, tons of room. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you could possibly need to cook. Entire rental process went very smoothly, owner was great with communication. A great experience! Thanks!

This was a beautiful place to stay. The house was very warm and inviting and had everything you would need to feel at home!! There was six of us that stayed there and plenty of room.
