Enjoyed our stay at this cute little cabin. It is nice and clean and well appointed. The opportunity to fish right from the yard was fun, though we didn't catch anything worth eating. Also enjoyed the fire pit by the river (bring your own wood).
The location does feel a bit different in reality than it appears in the photo. I'm just saying, because it appears to be secluded, but is not- a main road (not a busy highway, but there is traffic) runs right in front of it (which in the photo appears to be a hillside going up into woods, but there is a road right there), and there are neighbors on each side and beyond.
Inside, the water had a very strong sulfur smell which was quite unpleasant. I saw in the guest info book to contact the office if this was the case, so I did by text. They were very quick to respond (as they were when I was making the reservation-great property manager), glad to come over and change the water filter, but unfortunately, it didn't do much for the sulfur smell. Also, the gas fireplace gave off a very strong gas smell (propane, or whatever gas it is) that made me feel sick one night, so after that we just used the space heater provided instead of the fireplace. My husband, however, wasn't bothered by the gas smell, and none of my 3 kids seemed bothered, either, so maybe I'm just sensitive.
In spite of these things, though, we did have a very nice time there, and the rental rate (even on Christmas holiday) was very reasonable.
Incredible cabin for a couple getaway. Belinda is very prompt with emails and the cabin was exactly as described. The views are fantastic and the cabin is cozy and immaculate. We will definitely book again.
After reading all the reviews of Glory Days, we were very excited to spend a long weekend there. And we were not disappointed - it was a wonderful, beautiful, restful spot. The home is small but very quaint, comfortable and clean. My wife absolutely loved it! And the location right on the river was the best part of all. We spent our days fishing and relaxing and our nights sitting around the campfire and looking at the stars (which you never get to see in the city). Our teenage son barely turned on the TV or his electronics - he was too busy fishing! We tried our hands at close-by gem mining, which was fun too. We loved every minute we spent at Glory Days and hope to come back again soon. Thanks for opening the home up to visitors!
It was a short get away for us, but so worth it! Loved the old cabin and the location by the river was perfect! Enjoyed the peace and relaxation!
Being that this was our first experience staying in a cabin, i have to admit it was very nice. The cabin itself was small but quaint. I wish the bathroom and the couch was a little bigger but that was minor because sitting on the porch enjoying the night air and looking at the stars really reminded me of my childhood growing up in the country and those days are so missed! We celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary and the cabin was AWESOME!
This is a very cozy little cabin. We enjoyed our stay. It was very relaxing.
