Rancho Relaxo

My husband and I showed up at "Rancho Relaxo" late in the evening after a very long drive to Scotch Creek from Northern Alberta. I was trying to get a wireless signal for my computer to get online to retrieve my contact information, but it was fruitless. As me and my husband were becoming more frustrated and looking for SOMEONE in the area that knew our contact, she called to see if we had arrived safely!!! What a relief! We then got the necessary directions for the cabin and met the contacts husband there who then gave us a tour of the cabin and some important information for staying cozy while there.

All in all, our stay at "Rancho Relaxo" was a very positive one and VERY relaxing!!! The cabin is set up very nicely with EVERYTHING that one will need to perform cooking/cleaning duties.

I just want to give a shout out to Brenda and Dave for all their input to make our stay one of the best we have ever experienced!!

Thanks again. We will definitely try to come again next year!!

Very relaxed stay at Rancho Relaxo

My husband and I, and another couple rented 'Rancho' for two nights while attending a wedding at Shuswap Lake Provincial Park. The space has lots of character and has a fully-equipped kitchenette. The park and lake are just a short walk away, and there are amenities nearby (groceries, breakfast place, etc.). It is located in a quiet neighbourhood well away from the road. It has a huge yard which is fairly private, and was perfect to play some lawn games!

It worked for us but is pretty cozy, would be great for a family of 3-4 or two couples that are comfortable sharing space.

Scotch Creek Rancho Relaxo

My family of 3 just had an excellent time at Rancho Relaxo! It was a perfect spot for my husband, 4 year old daughter and I, and fully equipped with everything you think you need! Scotch Creek is a great small community that has a farmer's market every Wednesday and a few km down the road in Celista they have another farmer's market every Saturday and a winery. We missed out on the Friday nights live but they have a small market and music right in the town every Friday night in July and August. Hope to be back again!

Seeking R&R in Scotch Creek

Scotch Creek Cabin is in a great location, only a few minutes from the Provincial Park. It is located in a quiet neighbourhood and has plenty of grass and space to relax. Though the bedroom is separated by only a curtain and the bathroom involves walking outside (though its indoor plumbing!) the cabin offered all the conveniences of home, including a large selection of VHS movies! The property was very clean, well-maintained with a rustic lived in feel.

A welcome note was awaiting our arrival and Dave (one of the owners) was available for any questions we had, he even stopped by and cut down some branches for us to cook our marshmellows over the open fire pit. I would recommend this property to couples or a large group of friends or a family as it offers everything you require for a relaxing getaway.

If you are looking to relax, BBQ and enjoy the outdoors Scotch Creek is a great choice for some R&R, though recommend renting a boat and partaking in some water sports.

Resposta do proprietário: We are happy that our guests had a wonderful vacation. However, we would like to add that the property is not great for large groups, as it really does only sleep four people and is more suitable for a couple with 1 or 2 children, a single couple or 2 adults needing seperate beds. The bedroom actually has a wall between it and the living area and the curtain is there for privacy. The cabin is essentially one big room, with a wall seperating it. The bathroom is seperate on the covered deck and is perfect when there are tenters and visiting guests. We have never had issues with this before and all of our guests are thrilled with the value for the property.

Please inquire about booking for less than a week. Our nightly rate (minimum of 3 nights) during the Summer season is $140 for less than a one week booking. One week during the summer is $880. Our nightly rate (minimum of 2 nights) during the Spring and Fall seasons is $110 for less than a one week stay. For one week during Spring and Fall is $700.
If you decide to book through the website, they require a "booking with confidence" fee for using their site. This is payable to them and I do not see this fee.
A refundable payment of 350$ is required when you book to secure your booking and acts as a damage and/or cleaning deposit. This is payable directly to me and I am responsible for refunding it to you. Provided is an optional cleaning service. This is $150 and can be taken out of this $350 deposit if you choose to use our cleaning service. You may choose to do the cleaning yourself. Dishes are to be done regardless or this is an extra 25$ fee. If you leave the BBQ dirty, it is an extra 25$. The fridge should be cleaned out, stove cleaned, the kitchen cleaned, floors cleaned, carpets vacuumed and the sinks, shower and toilets left clean. The beds can be left unmade as we will take away the linens and bedding and replace with fresh linens and bedding. The garbage is taken out and bag replaced.
The full rental amount and any pet, extra guest, RV or tent fees are payable upon arrival in cash please.
