lots of room & pleasant
I was welcomed with a few fresh tomatoes on the kitchen counter top. The place was lovely, and clean. At night, it was nice having the windows open. The bakery, restaurant and ceramic studio downstairs are an added plus.
Home away from home
The property was easy to find. The building had simple access via instructions from the owner. We were pleasantly surprised with the loft! It was spacious, with super cute decor and artwork. The loft was stocked with all the necessities including DVDs, games, extra blankets and pillows as well as a full kitchen. The kitchen made it possible to cook meals at the loft and prepare sandwiches for our daily outings. The beds were comfortable, and the shower had excellent water pressure. It was really convenient having a laundry room to use. Coming home with mostly clean laundry is a huge help! There were not any wash cloths in the bathroom which is probably my only complaint about the property. Oh, the cafe downstairs was nice too! I definitely recommend if your looking for a comfortable, roomy rental.
Wash cloths are always above the towel hooks in the bathroom Cleaning may have forgotten to replace them so sorry if that was the case. thanks for your other nice comments Happy trails!!
The property was gorgeous. Don't let the neighborhood deceive you. Once inside we could not believe how nice the spot was and how comfortable the surrounding were. Clean! Definitely would recommend this to anyone staying in the area.
very much like home. very comfortable. much better than a hotel.
Charming flat; pictures accurately represent the apartment. Owner responsive and helpful.
Overall impression was slightly above average.
My wife, daughter and I were in town for a week long softball tournament. We travel a lot with the softball team so we have stayed many places. The place was very centrally located in Salisbury on the edge of a rejuvenated downtown and a not so great neighborhood. I was never concerned for our safety and even left a lot of items in the back of my truck every night and nothing came up missing.
The loft was large and open and the owner was very pleasant when we met in the cafe downstairs. When the sink leaked someone came to fix it within a couple of hours. There was an assortment of items provided in the unit: linens, paper products, toaster, plates, bowls, etc... However, none of it was super nice. The real downside of the unit was the bathroom. It seemed like the entire unit had been rehabbed and had nice furnishings but they left the old, small tub/shower. The water pressure and spotty hot water was annoying. You should also be aware that all four units share the same washer/dryer and it was tied up almost the entire week. The beds were comfy but it you need your privacy you should look elsewhere as this is truly a loft with no walls going to the ceiling. This was not a problem for us as we regularly stay in a small hotel room.
There is a nice new cafe downstairs and some restaurants within walking distance.
Note to the owner: buy a larger tv. It was impossible to see it from any of the furniture since the room is so large.
Overall I would stay here again if I was in the area, especially if they upgraded the bathroom and worked out the hot water issues.
thank you for your review. The tub is the original tub- as is the tiled interior of the bathroom- (the space was a hotel with many small rooms each with a bathroom-) We thought of yanking the tub out or putting a plastic coating over the porcelain- but this would change the vintage feel and aesthetic we value in our historic building. There were 4 families, with an average of 4 guests so 16 people all taking showers at once during this week. We just installed a large Bosche on demand water heater- $5000 to accommodate high usage and we are disappointed that you had any issues with hot water. We will contact the plumber and let her know as we all worked very hard to make sure this would never be an issue. 90 plus degree heat, softball, trips to the beach and this many guests would tie up the laundry- this is the first time that has been an issue-also the first comment made on the water.
The sheets and towels are from Marshels. The kitchen content is full- including teacups, mugs, wine glasses along with dishes, a variety of pots and pans and all the tools one needs. We supply coffee and basic condiments in the frig.
I am glad you will return and we would be happy to host you again- I will address your input as it is our goal to have every guest give as a top review.
