A lovely house in peaceful location

The house is in a peaceful location on Lower Mill Estate, with views over a quiet lake and just a few minutes walk to the amenities. The hosts were excellent, providing comprehensive information before and during the stay and useful information on the local area. We enjoyed our stay at the house. Our only negative is the futon in the second bedroom - ok for children but not comfortable for adults. Overall a lovely relaxing stay.

Fab family break to wind down together

Communication with owners quick & helpful from the first message through & to the end of our break. Location of property great - in quiet area next to a gated private. Does mean you may walk a little further than some properties, but..we liked the quieter location. floor to ceiling views excellent. Access to 2 adult bikes & kayak, we didn’t use the bikes as have 2 children, but.great for exploring , we did have fun with the kayak plus our own paddleboards! Lower Mill indoor & outdoor pools very much enjoyed. Balli Hoo restaurant.. food amazing & customer service (particularly Sarah)…. Way above a lot of restaurants! Great comfortable property that included bikes, kayaks & spa access, can’t get too much closer to nature unless you camp!

A peaceful and luxurious property.

The house was beautiful overlooking the lake at the end of the estate. Quite a walk to restaurant and spa, however, it was therefore peaceful at all times. We stayed during a heatwave which was wonderful but there was no fans or air conditioning making the house uncomfortable as upstairs became extremely hot. The house is stocked with everything making it a home from home. The second bedroom needed proper beds as the futon was not ideal for two teenagers; the master bedroom was wonderful. The main restaurant served amazing food and we had a lovely meal for my husband’s birthday there. The staff were excellent and made it a fully enjoyable evening. The Spa was fantastic with the multiple pools. There could have been a few more sun beds at the property as there was a terrace outside the main bedroom but no seating. The hosts sent regular communication leading up to our stay and the bottle of fizz that awaited us was a lovely touch. Overall it was an enjoyable stay in a unique and luxurious house.

A wonderful away from it all stay

This is a beautiful property in an idyllic position on the lower mill estate. We loved sitting on the deck watching the wildlife and listening to the bird song. We arrived with a long list of cultural sights to see but got no further than exploring local villages by bike, walking along the Thames path, canoeing on the lake and using the lovely pool. We couldnt fault any aspect of our stay, the house is wonderful, Vals communication is prompt and helpful and the little extras made it even more special.

Perfect holiday!

The location is astonishing... the scenery that you can enjoy from the living room is absolutely amazing. We were also able to enjoy swimming in indoor & outdoor pools, playing tennis and cycling everyday. The property also comes with a canoe that could be used in nearby lakes, which we simply ran out of time and could not try! Lovely Cotswolds area are within less than 1 hour drive and it was so nice visiting various places. The property is very well maintained and Val has been an amazing host in making sure our holiday a very comfortable one. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back!
