Happisburgh, with its spectacular lighthouse, as well as Walcott and Mundesley, with its beautiful sand beaches, are nearby communities. The picturesque Norfolk shoreline and the well-known Norfolk Broads may both be discovered from Bacton. There are other well-known National Trust sites further inland, including Blickling, Felbrigg, and Holkham Halls.
