"Casa do Americano" is the name of this charming stone house, which is located in Acuña. It stands on a 700-square-metre estate. On the ground floor, we find two lounges, one with fireplace and one with winery, which is next to the living room and the kitchen. On the main floor, there are six bedrooms, all equipped with ensuite bathrooms, heating, wooden floors, etc. Outdoor facilities include two barns, a garden, a saltwater pool with a beautiful view of the Vigo estuary and Salinas de Ulló. Adapted for people with reduced mobility. As for the decor, the ancient furniture has also been restored which makes this lovely house a perfect rural accommodation. The covered porch, facing the garden, is furnished and decorated with a fountain and typical tools.
Ideal for rural tourism, this stone house was built in the late XVIII century by D. José Fernández, who was an esteemed chef in this area, who moved to make it in Montevideo. On his return he devoted himself to invest in land and the building of this house. Hence its name. Part of it was built in masonry. It was restored in 2007-2008 after a ruinous state. Pets are allowed after consultation with the owner.
