Off the beaten track, dated with excellent view with unpleasant intrusion from landlady

Reasonably priced. 14km up a mountain = 1hr roundtrip to supermarket. Landlord (very nice lived upstairs did not speak English(unwilling to use G translate). We did not speak Italian! Fantastic poolside views. Large pool with debris at bottom, not scrubbed for some time. We cleaned daily of insects & floating plant debris. A frog in the pool seemed to survive the chlorination. Plastic sun loungers, no cushions. This area is overlooked by landlord’s front porch. The bench/table around the tree was not suitable for use (splinters). The villa was dated, bunk bed(top bunk not suitable for children as no barrier). There was good ventilation due to location & we managed (fans not provided). Average temps were >32C. No drinking mugs or suitable glasses. 2 mugs were provided on request. We bought big disposable cups to use for drinking. Water from the tap not suitable for brushing teeth due to strong metallic taste, water was a bit brown. The gas hob was the lowest point, generally took 15mins to get a poor flame going. This needs to be fixed. Landlady was very odd. 1 day we invited our son’s 9yr old friend to sleepover. Owners appeared to have an objection to this(we offered to pay or return the child to his parents but this was refused), still not clear what the problem was but landlord seem to be ok with one night(I emailed them so they could clarify but no response). The lady then spent 1hr on the phone outside shouting which was very disturbing and intrusive but did not come to talk 2 us. Next day the boys’ parents visited for a BBQ (I informed landlord). The lady was watching us & when we were inside preparing dinner, told our well behaved kids off & later came onto our deck collapsing our umbrella & muttering at our guests(9pm not late) which was very unpleasant. Her behaviour & lack of privacy prompted us to leave a day early & spend our last night in a hotel stress free. We tidied the villa, took rubbish away, handed back keys & she was in the villa by the time we put kids in the car. She came shouting but refused to translate to explain her problem. All we could see was spilt citronella wax on the floor of outdoor patio(an innocent oversight) tried to go into villa & get something to clean it up & she screamed at us to go & forced us out but still shouting at us. We stood on the patio & asked to translate, she refused so despite giving her villa back early we left disappointed with scared children, not the relaxed quiet family break we envisage

Resposta do proprietário: The location of the house is visible from Google Maps and the distance from the major cities is included in the description. The pool is regularly cleaned every day (the presence of a live frog does not imply lack of hygiene, we are in the countryside). The curtains are fitted with mats that we showed you on arrival. Our guests are free to have everything but it is good to ask the owners in advance if you can invite other people to stay in the apartment. Our policy is to hospitality and respect for the privacy of our guests, but it is above all respect for people and things that must not be missed on both sides.

Beautiful get away from it all property

We've just come back from a lovely week in this middle of nowhere house. Yes, the owners do live upstairs and you can hear them sometimes but they are very unobtrusive and the pool was ours for the whole week. Angela was very kind and did a load of washing for us for free as there is no machine in the property. The property is a good size and great for our family of 5. The children especially enjoyed the tennis court and table tennis. But the views though, could sit there and admire them forever. The nearest village of Preggio is a 5 minute drive, but we also walked it one evening, 30 mins there and slightly longer back. There is a great restaurant in Preggio too, well worth a visit, especially if you can book a table on the terrace. The nearest supermarket is in Castel Rigone but it's very small and quite overpriced, better to go to the Coop in Passignano on the lake, which is 25 minutes by car. The lake is very pleasant to sit and watch the world go by, with a small beach (free) just behind the marina. This is a great place to relax, maybe not the best if you need the thrills and spills, but we're very chilled now.

Eine wundervolle Woche

Wir verbrachten hier bereits zum 2. Mal eine wundervolle Woche. Wieder hat uns der Ausblick einfach nur sprachlos gemacht und die Gastfreundschaft der Vermieter ist beispiellos.

Und ganz ehrlich wo findet man schon ein Haus mit privatem riesen Pool, Tennisplatz, Tischtennistisch, Grill und Pizzaofen...

Einfach nur fantastisch.

Toller Pool und fantastischer Blick

Haus und Pool sind gut in Schuss und sehr gut gepflegt, wenngleich schon etwas älter. Die Wohnung ist groß und man findet mit den Möglichkeiten auch draußen zu sitzen viele schöne Aufenthaltsorte. Der Blick über die Hügel ringsum ist toll, und durch die relativ hohe Lage kann man es auch an sehr heißen Tagen gut aushalten. Unsere Kinder waren begeistert von dem großen Pool mit Sprungbrett. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und zurückhaltend. Sehr gut geeignet als Ruhepol zwischen Ausflügen zu den vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten ringsum!

Prachtig huis met schitterende uitzicht vanuit het zwembad!

Prachtig vakantiehuis met schaduwterras en zonneterras aan het zwembad.

Twee goed werkende BBQ's en zelf een pizza oven.

Vanuit de ligstoelen aan het zwembad of vanuit het zwembad heb je een prachtig uitzicht over de omgeving. Het water van het zwembad loopt precies over in de natuur en de bergen.

Het huis ligt wel wat afgelegen (rust vind je hier zeker). Maar alleszins een sterke aanrader!

Kellerwohnung, keine VIlla/Ferienhaus

Gross war bei mir die Enttäuschung bei der Ankunft. Das Bild, das man im Kopf, aus dem Katalog hat, stimmt nicht. Nicht ein Ferienhaus, eine Kellerwohnung hat man gebucht....

Nach ein paar Tagen verwischt sich der Eindruck. bei 35 Grad im Schatten ist der Pool mit seinem Blick bis zum Lago Trasinemo einfach fantastisch und die Kellerwohung wird zu einem kühlen Domizil. Bitte unbedingt italienisch Kenntnisse mitbringen, damit man die mündliche Erklärung zur italienische Mülltrennung auch versteht. Morgens und Abends die kühlen Stunden nutzen und über die Täler zu den nächsten Hügelketten schauen. FANTASTISCH.... 2 Wochen waren wir da, es hätten gerne nochmal 2 sein dürfen. Ich gebe nur 3 Sterne wegen der falschen Wahl der Domizilbeschreibung; sonst wären es 4,5 gewesen.
