On, arrival you will find generous parking. Four long flights of steps divide you from the rest of the world. We do not recommend our home to those who can not negotiate stairs well. A tram will carry your baggage down to the two-bedroom turnkey vacation rental nestled on the hillside of the southern tip of Whidbey Island. The natural rural setting combine the quaint appeal of a Puget Sound waterfront cottage community with miles of secluded beach to comb for agates and shells or any other water passion. Conveniently located 15 minutes from Langley or the Mukilteo/Clinton ferry, this is a perfect place to enjoy all the activities the island offers. The size and infrastructure of our home limits us to allow a maximum of 4 adults. For the courtesy of our guests this home is a non-smoking, non-pet facility, and Not ADA accessible.
Possession Beach House has been a Vacation Rental since 1999. We have had guest from around the world and enjoy return guests, some of whom have been returning for a decade. The home is a work in process. Originally built in 1942 and remolded in 1968, I bought into a place that needed every board to be replaced and have been doing so piece by piece with my guests enjoying the steady progress. Of course there are signs of the change throughout the home as the transition is made. Cracks from leveling the house when a new foundation was installed and areas sorely needing renovation while patiently waiting their turn. All in all, the home is a comfortable cozy place you will feel at home in. Eclectic, yes; modern designer home, not yet.
Indoor; on the first floor, you will find the main living area with living room, dining, kitchen, laundry, bath, and spare room. The living Room has been renovated boasting windows that surround the room with view. There is a 41” flat screen, Smart DVD player, and Wi-Fi. The Dining room/kitchen area seats six and has a roomy “one butt” kitchen. The kitchen had most everything you will need to cook, bake, and feed your family. Bottled Drinking water is provided. Regrettably to some, there is no dishwasher. There is a single rollaway, great for kids but uncomfortable for adults. Lol
Surrounding the home outdoors there is a fireplace that anchors the expansive deck. Among the amenities we have; Charcoal BBQ, outdoor dining table and chairs for 4, 4 adirondack chairs, Propane fire pit, propane crab cooker. (Propane available at local store)
On the second floor there are two bedrooms; a front room with queen bed and a view of the sound and a back bedroom with a queen bed and a half bath.
On the ground floor; the home is in progress… there will be; a future Sunroom; entertainment room, foyer, ¾ bath, and interior stairway to the rest of the home.
Outside; there is a lawn and lower deck. And of course the beach! Amenities include; a picnic table a couple loveseats and a small row boat*.
