Our February stay was enhanced by the beauty of the setting inside and out. This condo offered pleasant spaces for our group of 3 to sleep, eat, relax, and even do a little work from "home"--made easy by the wireless, printer, and even a handy supply of the sort of office items one might not travel with. But we were tempted away from work by the easy distance to El Paseo with its variety of shops and restaurants, and by the beauty of the mountains which glow in the Palm Desert sun. The condo setting is particularly lovely because of these views; not a strip mall in sight. We would have loved to linger longer over coffee on one of the patios, watching hummingbirds come and go in the carefully tended flowering desert plants. We hope to do so again. We had a particularly fine meal at The Venue Sake Bar and Sushi Lounge on El Paseo, followed by a refreshing nighttime swim and spa dip in the condo community's pool, heated to just the right temperature. One more perk that must be mentioned: not only does this property offer a tastefully appointed, newly renovated home where everything works well and looks great, it has shelves full of tempting books ranging from classic children's titles to history, novels, and books about the desert.
