Lovely quite location and a great house!

Well as soon as we arrived we were impressed! The property is located in a quite location with wonderful views. You open the door to the house and you quickly realise that the house offers super accommodation which is well planned, well maintained and clean for you to have a relaxing holiday. The house is very spacious and very well equipped. The two ground floor double bedroom have ensuite and the first floor twin rooms also offer one room with ensuite and the other directly adjacent to the main family bathroom. The location of the bedrooms give you plenty space and privacy. The kitchen is very well equipped with good storage.The large patio area leads to swimming pool which is well maintain and clean. We were lucky with the weather and generally ate outside. We really enjoyed having a barbecue in the evening, drinking wine, watching the Kite's circling above and looking at the fantastic sun sets. We were here for a week and we enjoyed a lovely relaxing holiday.

The description in fact underplayed the quality of the accommodation and the setting. The house is modern and very well equipped internally, with plenty of bathrooms and a modern kitchen. The terrace is lovely with pretty views over rolling countryside. The house was immaculately clean and the grounds very well kept.The pool was in perfect condition and a very good size. The house is excellent value and provided a most relaxing and picturesque base for exploring the local countryside. It is conveniently located for people interested in walking, canoeing, cycling and many other activities. I would enthusiastically recommend the house to others. We had a group ranging from the age of 7 to 89 and the house worked brilliantly for everyone.

Les Lavandes - Mon Reve

We have been to this region many times over the past few years and this is undoubtedly the best holiday home we have had the pleasure to stay in. Modern, clean, spacious, excellent facilities and fabulous location with fantastic views.

We visited last 2 weeks in June and weather was very hot, so welcoming pool had a lot of use. House was invitingly cool with shutters closed and there was welcoming shade under the barn next to the pool.

Spent lazy afternoons watching the Red Kites soaring on the thermals over the valley.

Ideal location for touring Perigord region and good walks from the house particularly to the caves.

Lots of historic sites to visit and would certainly recommend Domme, La Roque Gageac, Cadouin as well as Sarlat which is not to be missed, especially on market day.

Also a must is La Roque St Christophe with its spectacular location carved into a cliff face and also Chateau Des Milandes for an interesting day out.

The only problem we had was dragging ourselves away to come home. Would certainly return without any hesitation.

Les Lavandes

Les Lavandes is a beautifully presented villa in a tranquil setting, providing everything and more you could possibly want from a holiday. The local town of Le Bugue, where all essentials can be purchased, is a 5 minute car journey away. Eating out is available on all budgets and there are several nearby restaurants which offer a lovely evening out. If relaxing by the pool, chilling out and recharging your batteries isn't your thing then there is plenty to see and do, a visit to the beautiful town of Sarlat is well worth the trip. Andy and Sue have provided a comprehensive folder of information covering everything you could possibly need and the villa is maintained by a very friendly and helpful english couple who are on hand for any queries.

Whilst the drive through France may seem daunting the road network is far superior to the UK and nowhere near as congested and failing all else there is an airport at Bergerac although this does mean you can't return with a car full of wine!

This is a wondering place to stay, like Scotland with the weather, and I would have no hesitation in recommending a visit.

Les Lavandes delivers all you would expect and more!

The setting is amazing with tranquil views across a beatiful landscape to the east from the back of the property with sunsets to die for and enough space to give you a feeling of sheer indulgence.

From the moment we arrived to the time we left (unfortunately only a week later) we smiled from ear to ear.

A fantastically well designed house with fantastic facilities and spotless in all cases.

The welcome card and bottle of wine set up for our arrival was a fantastic start to the break and shows the owner's attention to detail and approach to renting his property.

The location is perfect for quick and easy access to all the local attractions of which I would reccomend them all (but you do need transport!)

Our party consisted of 4 adults and 2 children and the house gave us more than enough room to live in.

The pool is beatifully clean and extremely inviting along with sizeable patio area that allows you to soak up the midday sun.

I would go back tomorrow!

Wow!, beautiful house, fully equip kitchen, beautifully decorated rooms, set in tranquil peaceful setting, would recommend this luxury perigordian house to anyone thinking of renting it. My family and I rented this property in July and had fantastic weather everyday, enjoyed many a lazy day around the beautiful pool chilling out, while the kids bounced on the trampoline, swung on the swing or played ping pong! A real get away, we enjoyed our stay so much that we have already booked up for July 2009, Can't Wait!

Ao longo dos vales do Vézère e Dordogne são encontradas muitas cidades fascinante "Bastide", castelos e características históricas, refletindo muitos séculos de imponente arquitetura. Naturalmente, nenhuma visita está completa sem pesquisar as vinhas de Bergerac e Monbazillac, sem esquecer de provar as especialidades magníficas do Perigord num dos muitos restaurantes
