Not As Expected
Rating Details:
The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was somewhat dirty.
I was very happy with the location.
I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

This room is in need of a total renovation and new furnishings are needed. For example, there was a broken lamp in the living room. The lamp was actually taped near the base with what appeared to be shipping tape. The ceiling fan in the bedroom was wobbling and apparently wasn't attached to a wooden beam in the ceiling. I feel this is a safety issue. There was a broken glass table in the bedroom that had tape in two places. This was definitely a hazard. The comforter was an old comforter and not the white one that was in the photos online. It had a tear in it and looked very worn. There was a broken plate above the bedroom sink area where a wire was coming out of the wall. The bathroom exhaust fan was not operating at all. There was trash underneath the sofa when we arrived. The black coffee pot was totally rusted and needed replacing. It was totally impossible for a person to stand in front of the refrigerator and open the door because the kitchen is such a tight space. We have been staying in Ocean Forest Plaza since the 1970s. We have never rented a room at Ocean Forest Resort that wasn't in pristine condition. Unfortunately, for our next beach trip we will be looking for a new place to stay. I know that the air conditioning system is totally out of control of the rental company, but there was one night that the air conditioning system went out during the night and the temperature got very uncomfortable.
