No coração de Manarola, Micetto para passar umas férias em um grande apartamento perto do mar. Terraço amplo e fresco
We spent 4 nights in this lovely apartment and it was a highlight of our Italian vacation. Enrico was a perfect host. The place was super clean, well equipped and everything was perfect. The balcony was a great place to enjoy wine and watch the sunset. The back terrace was a wonderful place for breakfast. The location was perfect. Manarola is a quaint town with sufficient restaurants and a good grocery store. The walking was great exercise ( I've never walked so many stairs ) but then it was rewarded with awesome seafood, pasta and wine at the local places. We would walk home to our apt within minutes. We were even able to swim at the end of the street in the local swimming area. Definitely a place I would return to. Not fancy but an exquisite place to come. Although there was no wifi you could access the wifi at the train station.
The view from this apartment are breath taking! The 2 balconies are great, especially the larger one in the back with a table. The owners are great hosts and the apartment is well equipped and clean. Thanks for making our honeymoon so memorable!
This apartment was perfect for us. My husband and myself, my son and his soon-to-be fiance spent 3 nights in Enrico's apartment. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. The front porch looked out over the sea and cliffs of Manarola. As an added bonus the apartment had a back deck, also looking out over the sea, where we enjoyed wine and cheese after coming back from a day of hiking and swimming. I can easily recommend this apartment to anyone who enjoys the Cinque Terre.
The best part, though, was how wonderful Enrico, the owner is. Our trip to to the Cinque Terre was marred with an Italian Train Strike, cancelling our train. Luckily after many hours and standing in line in Milano Centrale, we did get on a train to Levanto. We had no idea, but Enrico took it upon himself to meet us there instead of us encountering more trains on strike on the way to the Cinque Terre. This was more than anyone would have done! We couldn't believe it. Then he took us on an Italian Adventure drive to Manarola showing us the Panorama of the Cinque Terre. An added bonus from a man who did not have to do all the good he did.
And, by the way, my son asked his girlfriend to marry him in Manarola. Engagement pictures are amazing!
Enrico speaks just enough english to communicate. The apartment itself is, according to my teenage kids, the bomb. From the balcony you can see the bay, people swimming and diving off of the rocks, and the sun setting in the hills. Note that this is actually a two bedroom apartment with a sofabed in the living room that was unfolded and set up as a third bedroom. The sound of the waves and the breeze coming into the rooms 24x7 was intoxicating. Not too crazy about the music selection from that old rock music bar across the street though. We made use of the patio for eating and drinking as well, and it was fantastic. We had a car and I followed Enrico up to his parent's place close to Volastra where I was able to leave the car parked securely in their gated driveway for two days. Only negative was that no reliable wifi was available.
I'll be brief about the property itself: its roomy, clean, and the views from it are beautiful. Having breakfast and evening wines on the patio are things I'll remember always about this place. I'll be more specific about how Enrico and his wife went beyond to help us.
We had arrived to Europe 3 days earlier. Our checked luggage got lost due to some cancelled flights, in any case, we'd been living from our small day packs and tourist souvenir shirts we picked up along the way. Despite our best efforts, it was likely the bags wouldn't reach us by the time we were leaving Cinque Terre, and we would have to hope they'd find us in Florence. After we left the property, we took a train to La Spezia. Our bags showed up at the property. Enrico hopped in the car with the driver, drove with him to La Spezia, found us in the train station, and reunited us with our bags. It was an amazing moment of relief. He refused to take a tip, and honestly just did it because he's a great person.
Thank you Enrico, and thanks for treating me to that amazing Gelato when I first arrived. Ciao.
We loved our stay in Alessandro’s apartment. It is comfortable, immensely clean, has a terrific view from the balcony. We also enjoyed the outdoor patio for our morning coffees. We couldn’t find a more pleasant and convenient spot to enjoy the Cinque Terre and will return again.
