Great location, needs some work

This property is in a great location - literally less than a 5 minute walk to city center and at the end of the street that is relatively quiet. The north and west views insure you will always have a nice ocean breeze, so be sure to open the windows. The views from two of the bedrooms were great. It was incredibly clean and the linens were fresh as well. The balconies have an amazing view of the city and the north and west shore. If you're not a beach person, but you want to soak in some of the Mediterranean sun, it doesn't get much better than this. Plenty of room for 5-6 people to lounge. What needs improvement: DUCK! The front door is several inches/centimeters shorter than a normal door and you will hit your head. Also be sure to duck when you use the upper balcony - same thing - when you come out of the door, the roof is low and you will hit your head hard if you don't pay attention. Some of the beds are very comfortable, some of them are very not comfortable. Some of the rooms have quaint, vintage furniture, some of the rooms have cheap furniture that is literally falling apart. Note the lounge furniture for the balconies are cheap plastic. The showers / bathrooms are very clean; however, the hot water is going to last 4 minutes if you are lucky. Very small tanks to heat water, so rinse off, shut off the water, soap up, and then rinse off again. No shower curtain in the first floor bathroom and tile is VERY slippery, so be careful if you use it. The kitchen is ok - there is no room for more than 4 people around the kitchen table, so if you are bringing a large family or group of fiends here, you cannot all eat at the table - in fact, there is no other place to eat inside. The kitchen has adequate utensils and pots and pans, but they don't even have a can opener. Finally, there is no room just to relax. There is a 12 inch TV (I think it's a TV) in a small sitting room with two small sofas. If your plan is to spend a night or two just watching TV or relaxing, you are not going to be comfortable. No WiFi and no sofas or lounging areas throughout the house - you're basically sitting at the kitchen table or in your bed. I'd probably bring 1-2 male friends in the future as a place to crash, but I wouldn't find this comfortable for a romantic getaway or small family due to the lack of furniture and charm and everything is just so cheap.

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus in spitzen Lage mit fantastischer Aussicht

Das Ferienhaus befindet sich in sehr ruhiger aber dennoch zentraler Lage von Castellammare del Golfo, das Zentrum mit vielen Restaurants, Bars und Läden ist nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt. Wir wurden von Antonietta und ihrer Schwester Maria sehr herzlich in Empfang genommen, die beiden zeigten uns das ganze Haus und sogar die nähere Umgebung und waren zudem stets hilfsbereit bei Fragen, bspw. zu Empfehlungen für Restaurants. Das Haus war absolut tadellos sauber, ist komplett ausgestattet und es fehlte an nichts, um einen schönen Urlaub zu verbringen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die fantastische Aussicht vom Balkon und der sehr großzügigen Dachterrasse, wo zudem noch etliche Liegestühle zur Verfügung stehen. Bei einem weiteren Aufenthalt in Castellammare werden wir auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!

Schönes geräumiges Haus in toller Lage

Wie schon in den anderen Bewertungen beschrieben ist das Haus echt klasse. Der Ausblick von beiden Balkonen ist wunderschön. In dem Haus ist wirklich alles vorhanden was man braucht, sogar Strandschirme stehen bereit. Wir haben nichts vermisst. Die Betten waren superbequem und wurden wöchentlich frisch bezogen. Antonia und Maria haben uns empfangen, alles im Haus erklärt (z.B. Kochen mit Gas) und auch wieder verabschiedet. Falls wir Fragen gehabt hätten, waren Sie per Handy erreichbar. Zur Begrüßung gab´s ne Flasche Wein und zum Abschied ganz frische Cassatelle...(köstlich). Der Hafen war zu Fuß in ca. 10 Minuten (gemütlich) zu erreichen. Geschäfte wie Bäcker, Obst, Lebesmittel alles sehr nah.Wir können das Haus nur weiterempfehlen.

Vacanze Settembre 2015

E' il secondo anno che soggiorniamo presso questa casa e devo dire che anche questa volta non ci ha deluso. La casa è in una posizione tranquilla ma nello stesso tempo in cinque minuti si raggiunge il centro ed è anche vicina alla bella spiaggia di Castellamare (5 minuti in macchina e 10/15 minuti a piedi). La casa è molto ben curata sia nella pulizia che negli accessori (stoviglie-pentole - biancheria per la casa), ma la vera chicca è la vista che si gode dal terrazzo in quanto si vede tutto il golfo di Castellamare bellissima!! Ringraziamo le proprietarie per la loro disponibilità e la loro presenza sempre discreta ma comunque sempre raggiungibili per ogni necessità. Sicuramente consigliamo la casa. A presto Paola e Diego
