My family of four (2 adults, 2 teenagers) recently returned from our stay in this flat. We had such a wonderful experience. I'm not sure what happened with the other recent reviews. Clement was at the apartment when we arrived and was very accommodating despite the language barrier. Clement was easily able to be contacted throughout our stay. The apartment was exactly as pictured, though there was some exterior work going on along the building. It did not affect our view of Notre Dame though and the hours they were working we were not at 'home' so it didn't bother us.
The steps to the apartment are definitely steep and a real effort to climb, but we are healthy enough that it was not much of an issue aside from our arrival (as we had all of our luggage with us). The location of the flat was perfect, the apartment was clean, comfortable and well maintained despite the age of the building and the rooms kept fairly cool despite the rise in temperature during our visit. Thank you for a wonderful stay in Paris.
Clement is amazing! Such a kind host and his apartment was perfect! His directions for using the RER from the airport were so easy. The views of Notre Dame are jaw dropping and it is in the perfect location! Easy accessibility to the RER, great local neighborhood area, loved the crepes too! We highly recommend staying here! We will be back! Thank you Clement for your gracious hospitality!
We are thrilled with this Louis XIII era walk-up on 4th floor, with exposed beam ceilings, views to a park, Notre Dame to the left and St. Julien le Pauvre to the right - two Parisian churches that are among the oldest in town, right across the bridge and a few steps from Notre Dame, crawling distance to the many cafes, creperies and brasseries of Quartier Latin older streets. For its location, the apartment is surprisingly quiet. The bedroom faces a small inner courtyard and is quiet as can be for a big city center. Two of us slept on a sofa in the living room with windows open, and although you could hear some street noise, occasional church bells and police sirens with other neighborhood sounds, we slept soundly every night and closed the windows only once at night, when it got too cool outside. We had a couple of hot days and some cooler weather, and the apartment stayed perfect - neither hot nor cold, thanks to great air movement.
Although location in Old Paris is its best asset, with very easy access to subway and RER train that goes to the airport, we also really enjoyed the old feel of this apartment. The small kitchen and bathroom with two showers have their own charm, and while you won't find the deluxe appointments of a five star hotel, you will find everything you need to absolutely fall in love with this little place. For us (two adults, two boys of 9 and 12), this was a perfect spot to enjoy Paris from. At times we had to coax the boys out as they so enjoyed the apartment, they just wanted to hang out. We did not turn on the TV and did not bring electronics, and kids didn't seem to even notice. Although we didn't cook or do laundry, we noticed that the kitchen, while small, had a stovetop, a medium-sized wall oven, microwave and clotheswasher/dryer. There are plenty of plates, utensils, knives and wine glasses to enjoy good wine, cheese and pastries from the bakeries and markets nearby. The coffee maker, toaster, pots, pans and an electric kettle help make breakfast easy, should you choose to stay in.
We were met by the owner's representative on arrival for a quick tour and explanation, and we enjoyed clear, timely and friendly communications with the owner during the booking and pre-trip process. Overall, we would highly recommend this location. We travel a lot, including internationally every year, and enjoy finding local gems to enjoy. This is one we will make a note of.
This is the perfect central location when visiting Paris; it is literally across the street from Notre Dame. The view from the front window is beautiful. The apartment itself has everything you need: small bedroom, bathroom and kitchen, and a good sized dining/living room. The couch pulls out into a full-size bed and is comfortable.
Clement was a welcoming and gracious host who was willing to provide information and recommendations to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
I highly recommend this apartment and would stay here again in the future!
