Wir haben uns in der Wohnung sehr wohlgefühlt und würden sie jederzeit wieder mieten.
Sie liegt verkehrsgünstig nur 2 Minuten von der Metrostation entfent, und auch zu Fuß erreicht man viele schöne Ziele schnell.
Eric ist ein toller Gastgeber und versucht jeden Wunsch möglich zu machen.
Wir (3 Erwachsene und 2 jugendliche Kinder) haben die Wohnung für einen 5 Tage-Paris-Besuch im Dezember 2016 genutzt.
Der Kontakt per Mail zum Vermieter war sehr informativ, angenehm und zügig. Auch der Empfang vor Ort war perfekt, freundlich und informativ. Danke.
Die Wohnung liegt sehr nahe am Gare du Nord und nur 3 Minuten von einer Metro-Station entfernt. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten für Lebensmittel sind sehr nah vorhanden.
Die Wohnung ist sehr zweckmäßig eingerichtet und sehr geräumig. Wir haben die Küche nur zum Frühstücken genutzt und alle notwendigen Dinge vorgefunden.
Die Wohnung liegt im 4. Stock; daher sind die Geräusche von der Straße nicht zu laut. Zwei Zimmer gehen zur Straße, zwei zu einem Hinterhof.
Trotz sehr kühler Witterung war die Wohung sehr leicht auf eine angenehme Temperatur zu heizen.
Auffällig war, dass zwar zwei zweckmäßig ausgestattete Bäder vorhanden sind, aber nur eine Toilette.
Wir würden diese Wohnung jederzeit wieder mieten.
Mr Testelin was charming, answered emails promptly, and met us at the apartment. The apartment is a 5 minute walk from Gare du Nord (Eurostar), and although in an area that is a bit run-down (full of wedding clothing shops!), we however did not feel unsafe. It is on a very busy Boulevard, and for the 2 bedrooms at the front, it was noisy with traffic and occasionally police sirens. The apartment itself is a graceful old lady of a Haussmann apartment, high ceilings, big rooms, elegant, but starting to be more shabby chic. It could do with updating of the paint work. The wall coverings are classic and stately, made from a textile. The apartment was clean enough, and plenty of crockery etc in the kitchen. One of the bedrooms has to be accessed through a choice of 2 other bedrooms. There is a separate shower room, and a shower over the bath in the bathroom which can also be used as an en-suite. There is one toilet in a separate room. Access to transport hubs was excellent, 5 mins to hop-on-hop-off bus stop, 3 minutes to catch the No.30 bus to Trocadero and Arc de Triomph, and 5 minutes walk to underground. We enjoyed our stay here.
The apartment was perfect for our family of five with two parents and three adult siblings. One bedroom is accessed only through two other bedrooms. This was not a problem as our youngest and earliest up stayed in this room. The toilet/bathrooms are unique but worked quite well. The first has a tub/shower and bidet and two sinks. The second has a toilet and a tiny hand sink. The third has a elevated shower and a hand sink and a clothes washer and a clothes line. We split up between the bathrooms and never got in each other's way. All the bedrooms were spacious enough that you had your own space. The Master has a fire place and doors opening into the hallway, living room and the adjacent bedroom plus a window into the courtyard and a large curved sofa. That's where I had tea and wrote in my journal. The living room/dining room was in constant use with a sofa, table & chairs and several loose chairs. There was plenty of space for everyone and the floor to ceiling windows in this room and the two adjacent bedrooms where lovely and opened to the balcony. The owner was great to deal with - texting, calling and making arrangements before hand. He met us at the unit and gave a tour and explained the area around the unit. We did not need to contact him during our stay as everything was perfect. The lift was out a couple time during our stay so we climbed 4 flights of stairs - be healthy! We spent a lovely 12 nights here in July and would love to go back. The last couple days were warm and steamy and the apartment got a little uncomfortable. We opened windows and got a nice cross breeze. We spent time on the balconies sitting in chairs or just standing with a glass of wine and watching the busy sidewalks and streets. The apartment had some noise from the street but we were in Paris to experience life and it did not bother anyone. The bustle added to our experience. We rode the Metro almost everywhere and the close-by station was great. We went to the market near the Metro stop every Wednesday and Saturday and bought our meat, veggies and fruit there. The bread and pastries are better at the many close-by bakeries and pastry shops. There are little grocery shops all over and larger stores just down the street about four blocks. The location was perfect to get everywhere. We went to Mass at Sacre Coeur the first Sunday, but a smaller church to the south the next week, St Vincent de Paul -- a much better and calmer experience.
