Lake House “Nines”
Affectionately dubbed the “Nines,” this term refers to the two-story wall of 9 windows overlooking the Middle Pea Porridge Pond. It’s an architectural feature that not only allows light to fill every corner of the house, but also provides stunning water views from virtually everywhere inside. Whether you’re standing at the stove cooking, relaxing at the dining room table, sitting on the couch, or reading your favorite book by a roaring fire, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the water.
We grew up vacationing in Eidelweiss Village and adopted it as an annual vacation spot with our children. We rented numerous houses over the course of 10 years, but always found ourselves seeking something more. This house has everything we’ve ever dreamed of: our own private beach, a wide open layout, amazing water views (100 feet of waterfront on a very private cove), central air conditioning, a deck overlooking the water, an outdoor patio & fire pit, an outdoor shower to rinse off sandy feet, a wood-burning fireplace…. Also, this house is one of the newest waterfront houses in Eidelweiss, constructed in 2006 with a built-in dehumidifier system on the lower level.
This 2,850 sq. ft. house has 3 levels with 2 bedrooms on the top floor and 2 bedrooms on the lower level. Every bedroom faces the water. This house is ideal for one to two families interested in relaxing in a tranquil environment.
To enhance your experience we have a pool table, foosball table, 2 tandem kayaks, a canoe, a stand up paddle board, a hammock overlooking the water and a private swimming raft.
Some of our favorite summer activities in the area include: swimming, canoeing & kayaking in a safe environment (no motor boats are permitted in Eidelweiss) and fishing in the lake. When we leave Eidelweiss, we enjoy visiting Storyland (25 mins), waterslides at Whale’s Tale (1 hour), shopping at the North Conway Outlets (15 mins), swimming off the Kancamagus highway in the river (15 mins), tubing on the Saco River, hiking, mini golf at Pirate’s Cove, Lost River (1 Hour) and Santa’s Village (1¼ hours).
In the winter, fun activities include skiing at Attitash (25 mins), Cranmore (15 mins), Cranmore also has tubing, Bretton Woods (1 hour), Loon (1 hour), Wildcat Mountain (45 minutes), and King Pine (15 mins). King Pine also has ice skating on a groomed rink, snowshoeing and tubing.
