The hot tub was great, clean, beautiful view, cozy.

I have always liked vacasa because they are responsive at most places we have stayed feel like a beach cabin.

Year 4

Every year we come it's just as nice or nicer than the year before. a short jaunt to the beach, our furry pets friendly, and they check on you to make sure all is well. quiet, clean, and delightful views of the ocean. Thank you once again for a wonderful stay.

I had been watching reviews of this property like a hawk after I booked I noticed several poor reviews and then was worried I should have researched more. We were overall thankful for previous review so some of the negative aspects weren’t a surprise but the positives outweighed the negatives. The property is easy to find right off Hwy 101 and plenty of parking space for our suv. We loved the hot tub and used it every night and that counter acted the low amount of hot water in the upstairs shower. We found lots of shells and enjoyed the otters or Sea lions we spotted playing right out front. The section of Big Stump beach felt very private and we loved morning and evening walks on the beach. The property had plenty of towels in both bathrooms and we found a luggage rack in the upstairs bedroom closet which I think another poster had mentioned the property lacked. We bought groceries in Newport and cooked most of our meals on property and had most everything we needed as far as pots and pans. A few basic spice options beyond salt and pepper would have been helpful but with the times I know it’s probably hard to provide those types of things for multiple people to use. We did bring our own dust pan since one of the recent reviews mentioned there wasn’t one. My husband also had to make a store stop for more dish soap as the small bottle provided wasn’t enough and we used our paper grocery bags as garage liners after the provided trash bags ran out. Glad we booked!

Cottage regret

We rented the cottage with my elderly mom and sister for three nights. The picture shows a nice comfortable couch with the fireplace going, but when we got there, there was no comfortable couch just a cheap loveseat too low to the ground and a chair with no arms and a broken down fireplace, which was a bummer. The house was very bland with no color not even a picture on the wall. The hot tub was nice but you had to climb up on a chair to get in and my elderly mother wasn’t able to enjoy the hot tub for that reason. Beds were comfortable , but there is no dressers to put your clothes or anything to put your suitcase on. Everything was on the floor.The screen door didn’t fit the window so it was a narrow entry to the back porch. My mom had a hard time with the stairs in the front deck because there’s no handrail. We also rented out the big cottage, which is so much nicer because I had my family come and celebrate my 60th birthday so we stayed in that cottage for most of the time. I will never stay in this cottage again. One of the upside was the weather was perfect.

Cape cottages

Great location, loved walking the beach. Hot tub was lovely. Views are perfect! We got the moon setting over the ocean early in the morning, beautiful!! Gorgeous sunsets. The space was clean and super cute. There wasn’t a dustpan. That’s my only complaint.
